Generation Next

Haven’t read yet, but it came on time and the quality of the book is great! Having a nice looking book is important for me cause it makes me want to read it more!

I've been really excited to read Generation Next for a while now, and I finally got around to purchasing it, and I couldn't have been more pleased to read it!Accompanied by a sleeping cat, I managed to finish the entire book in the course of a day. The matter that in the past, I've been quite the picky reader, and I'm not all that big on Teen Fiction or of the sort, I was intrigued to find how immersed I was the entire time. I can't say that it was what I expected it to be, because it definitely wasn't. I consider myself a relatively big fan of Oli White, but (no offense to Oli at all; ily) I wasn't really sure what to find- my expectations were quite low. But after having read it, I can testify that Generation Next exceeded all expectations. :)If anyone is sceptical about reading this book, get it already, turn on your slow alternative station (or whatever taste of music you have) and I promise you won't regret it! Especially for those who are fans like me, it was definitely enjoyable to see Oli as a person reflected upon the writing (because I definitely saw quite a bit of Oli in Jack the entire time, and in all the characters, really). I found it super cute and relatable the entire time- could even have a good laugh every now and then. Glad I took the time to read it! ~

I have been a fan of Oli White for a while. I honestly thought it wouldn't be too great because he is a youtuber, not a writer. Oli blew my expectations out of the water. It has an amazing plot and I can't put the book down. Whether you're a fan of Oli or not, you should read this book.

The writing was great. I felt as I were in the story. It was well written and very entertaining and suspenseful

Let's just start this off with the truth. Since he is famous anybody would pick up his book. He didn't need talent for it and this abomination of a book destroys the literacy world. Oil White's writing in the book is just aweful. No it's worse then that. It's dry and boring. I coauthor myself trying to fall asleep. However he had a good storyline. Maybe he should sell his story and copyright to another author who can present it better?

The novel “Generation Next” by Oli White is a fictional story centered around five teenagers. Jack Penman, Ava, Sai, and AJ all join forces as “misfits” and create a website called Generation Next. This website is designed to be a “multi-faceted platform with reviews of gigs, music, sport and stuff that interests people our age” (White 58). They start off small by interviewing local commodities, but still get a good amount of views. When they release the interview of The Gloves band is when they go viral and eventually they reach a million subscribers. There is always going to be a few speed bumps along the way. Jack dealing with his mum having breast cancer, and his crush on Ella Foster, a member of GENNEXT. Unflattering videos of members of GENNEXT surfaced on the internet, and damaged the reputation of the company. However, the company only got bigger even after these mishaps, as in the end Generation Next had 4 million subscribers. They had an outside company try to manipulate them into giving in and allowing them to take over GENNEXT, but time after time they declined, and this bunch of 17 year old kids started from scratch to make a small website get popular very fast. This was a very intriguing book. It may be fiction, but some of the things were very realistic as to how business works. Lots of huge corporations today have started from scratch in the basement of their homes, and have come up with such a great idea that it earns them lots of revenue, like GENNEXT. Companies trying to manipulate young inexperienced corporations will also play saboteur, by using blackmail, like they did in this book by leaking the videos. This book was a very informative form of fiction for any young businessmen/businesswomen. Overall I would say that younger people would enjoy this story, but older people may not. Younger people are always up for learning a new way that they make money from their technology. Older people may get upset by reading this, and think that the kids are lucky to be given this technology by their hard working parents and that they never have to get a “real job.” All in all, I believe this was a great book, and anyone looking to become inspired should definitely pick up a copy of Generation Next!

As a major enthusiast of youtube, I watch a lot of Oli White videos. He's one of my favourites! When I saw this book on the kindle, I immediately bought it because I figured it would be amazing just like Oli. I dived straight in.Reading the book, I realised that the it wasn't as amazing as I thought it would be - it didn't flow as smoothly as other's I had read and I kind of found the plot a bit... Boring? I felt like the novel didn't connect as well to the reader, emotionally and mentally- which was a bit of a disappointment.But whatever the case, I think that anyone between the ages of 8-18 could possibly relate to this because of the use of bullying content. I am still really proud of Oli and would like him to produce more later on in the guture .

I'm really picky with the kinds of books that I read. But I have watched Oli White on YouTube for years so I had bought the book out of support. But! when I started to read it, I was not disappointed! The 1st chapter didn't really catch my attention as much as I was hoping but as I kept reading, the book got addicting!It's definitely my kind of book. It has its quirky bits and amazing story line that makes you not want to put the book down!If you're looking for a genuinely adorable and relatable book to read, start with Generation Next!

This is honestly amazing, Oli you have made a personally good book about people who gets bullied and it shows them how to get through with this and it's one of the best I have read (I have only started reading it and it already is incredible). I bet you couldn't make another book better like this as this is just so good. I hope you and your brother has a great time, Your no1 fan !!!

I bought this book for my boys 13th birthday. He was very pleased and can't wait to start reading it.
