Petroad Indoor Pet Scat Mat Electronic Training Mat for Dogs and Cats, Transparent Roll Up PVC

I ordered this because I had ordered a similar one for the couch and this was smaller for a different location (in front of dog gate to keep them from knocking it over). The dogs stand right on it and it does nothing for them. I tried with my hand as well the 'shock' was so faint it was barely noticeable. This model was a complete waste of money and provides no deterrent for the pets at all

Works great! I got this because I have a crazy kitten who runs around a lot at night and wants in/out of my bedroom. I was keeping her in my bedroom but had to build a fort to put in the front of the closed door because she was digging a hole in the carpet and scratching the door to get out. I put this mat in front of the closed door last night. She got zapped 2x but then just got up on the bed and went to sleep. No more digging the carpet under the bedroom door! Yay!

Keep in mind this won't work for all pets. I recommend testing it on yourself before deciding what setting to have it on (I used the low setting). I gave it 4 stars because it works as it should, but I wish you could turn off the beep that goes off before the shock.This worked great for keeping one of my two problem cats off of the counter. He got shocked one time and has not been up there since. The other cat has not actually been shocked as far as I know, but jumps down when he hears the beeping. As long as I have it on the counter, he does not get up there or at least doesn't stay up there. I was really hoping that it would teach them both not to get up there at all (as it did for the first one) so I wouldn't need it out all the time.EDIT: Stopped working after 5 months. The light turns on but no more shock.

The mat works, but I prefer the competing Scat Mat. My quibbles about the Petroad mat are (1) it goes thru batteries more quickly than the Scat Mat (perhaps because the "activated" light flashes continually) and (2) it never flattened out like the Scat Mat (perhaps because the mat plastic is a different kind of plastic, and thicker). That said, the mat works as it's supposed to, and it is somewhat less expensive than its competitor.

Got this mat to keep my five dogs away from an area where they can't seem to control their bladders. Four of the dogs are under 10 pounds. I stood there and watched them walk across this mat into the forbidden area without the mat being activated. It also only activated about half the time when the larger (25 pound) dog walked across it. It didn't even consistently activate when my 175 pound husband stood on it. Will obviously be returning this mat.

The media could not be loaded.  Why I have it a three star rating... I bought this for my 6lb cat. She's restricted to the guest bathroom because of a bathroom problem and has continued to climb the baby gates I have in the doorway and escape. I placed this in front of the gates and thought it would work great. Worked great on me!! Haha. It's fairly good size but the mechanism that engages it is not the best for my situation. They need to step on two of the sensors at the same time to engage a shock. It emits a buzz when it engages as well and I've only heard it go off like twice (funny as all get out). I wish the sensors were closer together and more sensitive than they are.

This item didn’t even last two weeks. All the wires are coming up off the plastic mat. Can’t use it at all any more.

Works great and immediately. Cats learned to stay away after one low level shock. (Family agrees that one low level shock is kinder than risking our cats get out and get hit by a car or caught by a dog.) We will be ordering another for our back door soon.
