The reason I removed one star is the soft material on the handle split very quickly. Aside from that, it never tangles and works very well with two similarly sized dogs. The latches and leash itself are very well made.

I have two Great Danes - one 115 lbs and the other 80 lbs (but only 7 months old). They walk extremely well with this dual leash. Each has just enough room to walk without bumping into the other. My larger dog has a tendency to play-lunge at other dogs (we are working on this) so she wears her prong collar when we go out for extra control. The foam-grip handle alone would likely not be enough to hold one of them back but the individual handles on each length of leash does the trick. While there may be something even better for my size dogs, I am very pleased with this purchase and would definitely recommend. I've only had it a week so can't attest to durability. The leash portions look very durable. The foam handle may not last as long but only time will tell.

Very happy with this product overall. The material feels sturdy and well made, and the design is very good.The swivel works really well, dogs can walk left and right of each other switching sides and it's no issue, the whole thing rotates.The padded handles are good to grab if there's a car coming and you need to get a close grip.The foam grip (traffic handle) I found to be really nice, its easy on your hands if your dogs like to pull and gives you a firm grip with padding so it doesn't hurt your hand. The only downside is that it doesn't go over your wrist like a lot of leashes, so you have to really make sure you're holding on. My girlfriend doesn't like using it because she's afraid a sharp pull could yank it out of her hands.

I refuse to walk my two dogs together due to the tangled mess they make of their leashes and the struggle to keep them going in the same direction. I used this leash to walk them today, thinking we might survive a block or so, but it worked so well that we did a 2 mile route. The swivel allows them to cross each other without tangling, and the design causes a pull on the other dog, not me, when one tries to jerk away. What a pleasant time we had. The clasps are sturdy (my dogs are quite strong so that was important) and the leash is the perfect length to keep my dogs controlled. I highly recommend this leash if you have two good sized dogs and need to be able to control them.

So glad that I bought this product! I have two dogs that like to pull on the leash and usually in opposite directions. My border collie mix weighs about 50 pounds and my doxipom weighs 20. I still bought the "large" size and it's perfect. Now my boys have learned to walk side by side in the same direction and I am not getting tripped, yanked or mowed over. It almost seems to have had a calming affect. It's the only way that's worked for me to be able to walk them both. At 60, I don't have the strength to control them with muscles alone. The leash is very strong and durable and the handle is padded and comfortable and I think a key reason why this works so well for me. No more cutting into my hand! I'm a very happy customer and have two very happy pups.

Use for my 140lbs mastiff and my 50lbs pittie mix. It's very sturdy and holds up even when they decide that walking like well mannered dogs is something they're completely incapable of doing. The swivel is great - no tangled leash. I like the individual handles on each of the "arms" of the leash. Makes it easy for emergency grabs in case of cats. The mastiff thinks they all want to play with him. Also works great for the 80% of the time that they are not spazzing out and we are just walking. Not for little/toy dogs at all. Much too heavy.

Great upgrade to our 2-year old dual-lead rope leash.Things I like:-Length from the handgrip to the coupler is about the same distance as the length from the coupler to collar clips (vs a coupler closer to the handgrip). This provides some space for the dogs to walk without tripping you but not so much distance from each other that they become easily entangled or can clothesline my legs.-Separate control handles for both dogs is great for my big friendly monsters. I can keep them both close at hand when tempting distractions come into view or just my ADHD and easily excitable boy.-Construction is super sturdy without being hard on the hands.-Bonus! the trim is mildly reflective!Things (1) that aren't quite ideal:-The main handgrip is a smudge large/thick, making my grip less secure. My hands aren't tiny but fingers are short so it's something to consider.Overall, fantastic for all 130+ pounds of my very strong pitties.

LOVE this! I run with my two chocolate labs every morning, and although they're very good on leash, there were occasional tangles. Since we'll be having a third dog join us for part of the summer, I decided to try the coupler to cut down of leash stress. It's been just over a week, and I couldn't be happier! They took to it immediately - no learning curve - and I'm really glad I added the matching leash - the shorter length is great, since a regular length leash would need to be gathered up to keep the dogs in close without the danger of tripping over the dogs or the leash. The added cushioned handles are genius - the younger lab can get jumpy when big trucks go by, so the closer-to-dog handle brings her in easily - making her feel safe and helping me know I have her under control.
