Cashel Crusader Horse Fly Mask

I have really struggled to find fly masks that fit my mini donkeys when it comes to their big ears, but these masks fit great! I have the 2 smallest sizes for my mom and baby donkey and they fit amazingly and my donkeys love them!

We use this brand on our horses so we expected the mask to be a good product; our questions were how the fit would be on a llama and how the llama would tolerate it. We now have our answers: Great fit and well tolerated!Our pocket of the North Woods hosts swarms of black flies right through the summer, peaking in July. (They don't have the decency to hit and run in May/June as I hear they do elsewhere.) One of our llamas was rubbing the hair off her ears in response, and spending her days flat on her side hiding her head in the grass instead of eating. The description of the only llama-specific fly mask - earless - that I found online assured me that llamas don't tolerate things on their ears. Well, they do when the alternative is torture! Kate now happily spending her days eating.The ears are a couple inches long; we've put rubber bands on where we plan to eventually cut & sew closed the ends - much easier than lengthening horse-sized ears.

Great mask for donkey. It’s breathable for her and protects her. Only thing I wish was different or an option would be double Velcro straps. But the mask has lasted 6 months and still going

Easy to put on

I have a 34-36" mini jennet who is very sensitive to flies in her ears and eyes, so I keep a mask on her full-time. Cashel is the only company I've found with a mask to fit mini donkeys (or at least without fleece - my equids are field-kept, so fuzz is bad).Unfortunately, although durable, the mask doesn't fit well - if I tighten it enough around the nose to keep flies out, it'll be on her eyes.And since you can't see through the mask, flies crawling under led to an infected wound below one eye as I only take it off for weekly grooming.If I can't find anything else, I'll keep buying these because I am a fan of Cashel, but I will keep looking.

Fits my mini donkey perfectly, nice and snug around her face. I got her the foal size. Her ears are not long so they droop a little but it doesn’t seem to bother her. I have bought several mini masks but they never fit her well. This is the first time I have ever had a mask actually fit her.

Cashed fly masks ARE THE BEST! They last for years and my donkey lives her fly mask. The mask is a bit big. Many people move the Velcro closure back. I don't sew, so I just adjust it as tightly as I can. It works well for my donkey,but she doesn't rub. My guess is that I'd have to move the closures if she did rub because the mask COULD be rubbed off.

I understand how difficult it is to find products that fit donkeys of any sort. I bought this fly mask for my mini donkey and although it fits his ears well, I find the mask to be a bit too short in the front of the face. It gapes at the front, bottom, so I'm not sure how well it will keep flies out. But, it's better than nothing hopefully.
