Not what I expected.

I wore Jade East when I was in junior and senior high school. Probably quit wearing it around 1968, but I always liked it. It was one of the more expensive of the cheaper colognes, and it was definitely a favorite with high schoolers. I was quite delighted to find that it is still available. The Jade East bottles I bought from Amazon were small, 1.25 oz each, and the bottles themselves are kind of chintzy, where as the bottles from the 60s were 4oz and rather elegantly package and they had a really nice black and gold striped cap. The fragrance seems to be the same, but who can tell after over 50 years. I find it to be what I remember, I am just not exactly sure what I remember. I recommend buying the smaller bottles if you want to try it. The price was right.

I bought these for my husband because he looked everywhere for this cologne and I told him I got this so I ordered it and he loves it!!!!!!

What's that pineapple smell??
Smells good but lasts maybe an hour. Smells approx. the same as I remember from jr. high, but I don't know how accurate my smell memory is, or even if my sense of smell works the same. And I figure like the average 13-yr. old, we likely splashed on wayyyy to much, kind of like these Axe kids nowdays.

Meets expectations
The Jade East Cologne is exactly as it was years ago when it was popular. I bought this for my fiance' as he remembered and loved that cologne. He was so surprised as he didn't think they even made it anymore. He loved it and is wearing it again.

Weak scent
The bottles of colone and after shave had more of an alcohol scent than Jade East scent. Some 20 year old Jade East I owned had more of a scent than the Jade East I purchased to replace it. You can't return it so you have two expensive bottles of very lightly scented alcohol.
