Forest Pilot 3 Piece Walking Stick Flat Wooden Ball Head with a Compass (Dark Rose Color, 48 Inches, Piece)

I am very pleased with my purchase. The walking stick is very sturdy when screwed together and also very compact as it breaks down to three 18 inch pieces. My attraction to this specific walking stick was due to the fact that it easily fits into an (in flight) carry-on bag allowing it to be easily accessible when needed. The built-in compass is a bonus. Great design and workmanship!

I Love the fabric and the rivets that make up the handle. I wish it were removable for cleaning though. The compass, while it looks cool, doesn't always go in the correct direction as you move, or, it takes it a moment or two. The deep rose-brown color is pretty. Were I not seeing it in the sun, I'd have thought that it was a dark brown. It doesn't connect exactly straight as the bottom segment connects at a slight angle. That does make me wonder how structurally reliable this may be after much use. I'm a 5ft 9 inch gal with shoes on and (see picture) it seems to come up to the bottom of my sternum. Also, it looks to be an inch in diameter (a little more at the rubber end and, of course, a goodly bit more at the palm end). There is minor scuffing, but, visually, it looks good. The pouch isn't leather as it says in the description, but, I didn't think it would be, given the price. I will be returning it though as I was concerned that it would give out eventually due to how the last segment connects, because it felt slightly tacky when touching the wood, which got me particularly focused on the Bisphenol A warning on the tag. I may have missed that in the description, but, I don't think that it was written there. The tackiness of the wood makes me think that, while I can't see a transfer from the stick to my hand, that I could be getting that stuff on my hands and that I (or my kids) may inadvertently, injest some if I (we) forget to wash my (our) hands. I figure though that, in this modern age, that I'm probably already being exposed to a goodly number of potentially troublesome chemicals. I don't see the need to add another potential source of which I'm aware.

I have bought three different types of walking sticksThis is the best one.Ten out of ten.I’m five feet , three and half inch tall. I use it for balance and support after a spinal injury.It allows me to walk straight, and not leaning on either side, which helps with not getting pain.
