Wrenwane Hygrometer Humidity Sensor Indoor Room Thermometer Fahrenheit Or Celsius White

UPDATE 3/1/17 After receiving an email from Wrenwane, I was advised that the "LL%" is indicative of a low humidity level, and when it gets above 20%, it gives an percentage reading. After moving the unit to another room I do see where this is the case. I am changing my review from 3 stars to 4. As far as customer service is concerned, I would give them 5 stars.***************************************************I purchased this last week because we have issues with instability with the heating and cooling in our office. From the start I thought that the temperature might be off since it was reading warmer than it felt to the majority of us, but thought it would be a decent base point to know when it got a lot warmer or cooler. Then I come into work this morning and the humidity reading no longer works. I did try resetting it but it keeps reverting back to a "LL%" reading for the humidity. I would consider returning it if I hadn't already written my name on the bottom of it (you know how those office thieves can be...). So far now I give it a "meh" rating.

Follow up Review:Received a replacement unit. 5-star for customer service. This time, I waited for longer period and it is still working well.Initial Review:Very disappointed with the quality. After about 2 weeks, the humidity indicator stopped working and now only show LL% instead of a number % regardless of the condition. I even create different humid environments but did not change. I pressed the reset button and changed batteries but the result is the same. Definately will stay away from this brand product, quality appears lacking. should have spent a little more. Since i tossed out the small box thinking it is not needed, I won't be returning it.

This is a good indoor room temperature gauge. I bought it for my elderly mothers apartment which used to be way too hot. She has a hard time staying warm and this is a convenient, small device to let her know what the real temperature is. She likes knowing rather than trying to guess the room temp. It seems to be accurate, has a larger display, and is small so it can be put anywhere for easy access. She is 82 years young but has some slight vision issues. She loves having it nearby to check, but says she would like it to: 1) have a lit display, and 2) be just a bit bigger.

The temperature is accurate on the Wrenwane units; however, the relative humidity on both Wrenwane units I have (the original and a replacement from Wrenwane) are 6-8 percentage points lower than 5 other (3 other brands) temperature/humidity monitors that I have when all are placed in the same area inside and 10-12 percentage points lower when placed outside on screened porch.Because the temperature is accurate and the variation in the humidity reading is consistent, on the inside one I marked "+6-8 pts" and on the outside one I marked "+10-12 pts". Couldn't see throwing them away, they are otherwise a good size and readable. I did contact Wrenwane Customer Service and they replied immediately and sent me a replacement. They also followed up on the replacement unit. I was happy with their customer service and quick response.The 3-star rating is a result of the units still being usable (accurate temp and predictable humidity differences) and because of their customer service.

I like this thing well enough but I don't love the smiley face system. I can only assume the straight face is too dry, the happy is good, and the sad face is too humid. The paper that came inside the box didn't have any sort of key. The faces also don't always appear. I had one before that I liked better, that just said LOW, OK, HIGH, but that one sadly conked out after a couple years. This one looks nicer than that one did, but the smiley face system needs to be improved. The faces could be bigger too, so I could see them from two feet away like I can see the numbers. Meh.

To me this product falls short as a humidity monitor as it will not give a reading if the humidity falls below 20%. It simply shows LL. This was confirmed by the manufacturer. I have other inexpensive temperature / humidity monitors that show humidity readings less than 20%. Of course I cannot vouch for their accuracy. Other than that the temperature reading seem to be fairly accurate and the monitor is easy to read.

I bought this primarily for my office at work. Being on the same thermostat as a training room with 40 computers means my office is often very cold when a training class is going on. I wanted to have an idea of how cold my office got during these times so I would have the ammunition to take to the higher ups to make some changes. The humidity has basically indicated LL since put it in my office, which I guess means the humidity is so low it doesn't register. But I love this monitor. The size is perfect and the display is easily visible. Great product

Great packaging. Product protected inside bubble-wrap pouch placed in a well fitting box. Instructions well laid out simple to understand. Said batteries were included. Cool! Power it up.......nothing. Removed back panel. MISSING a battery! Big downer. Got battery from store. I gave product four stars because of the battery. The product does work and does as it states. I emailed the company about their quality control.
