Very cute for gifts

I have been canning for years and ship most of my product to friends and family. I pack my jams and pickles extremely carefully. This jar was the only one to break on shipment, leaving my sister to clean up an apple butter mess. Fine if you are going to gift locally but I will not ship in this jar ever again.

Absolutely love the jars and will order more again. But the lids you include do not seal well when canning. I ended up having to replace over 50% of them with a Ball lid and re-process in water bath to get a safe seal. I'd love to see you improve on the lids you provide.

Very pretty jars, but on the very first use, two of the jars "blew out" in one corner upon filling. Fine for dry products, but I wouldn't recommend for jams or canning.

This was a gift, and I might add a well-received gift. The recipient is the jelly and jam maker in the family and she loved them. They have a heavy thick bottom to them, so they make a nice vessel for gifting. I cannot vouch for cleaning or leak proof, but am going to assume since they are canning jars the proper lid will suffice to assure no leaking. I did buy her a pack of brand-name lids to go with it. I personally have used lids like the ones with these jars, and they have worked perfectly, but take a longer time to seal when taken out of the canner. Patience is key. I would buy these again in a heartbeat. They are unique and just gorgeous for display. Also, these are packed EXTREMELY well. Kudos to the company on their packing. The box was also placed inside another box, so they were doubly protected.
