Great little oven, easy to use and makes some lovely stone baked pizzas

Just opened my item ahead of my husbands birthday this was his gift and this is what I saw! Very upset clearly been used before

Base tok hot no heat above pizza
The stone gets too hot and that heat doesn't stay in the oven compartment. Base was black and pizza toppings not Cooke. Even after putting a metal screen across the front opening. Finished the pizza off in the oven as the temperature was higher.
