If electric dryer doesn't go brrr this will make dryer go brrrr as long as you properly connect it with some 10/3 or larger romex or MC equivalent.

Good surface mount receptacle but note the orientation
Solid quality product for DIY installation if you're handy.One caveat. If installed vertically on the wall with the outlet at the top, a standard dryer cord will plug into the receptacle with the cord sticking up out of the top of the plug. I didn't want the cord oriented that way because I mounted my receptacle 3 feet high on the wall, so I mounted it sideways which works better in that position.

Super fast free prime shipping: Ordered Saturday and received Monday. Good quality, heavy duty NEMA 14-30 receptacle with a high gloss finish. Ordered the surface mount so I wouldn't need a box and cover plate for my Miele washer and dryer. Has 2 hole options for wire, either through the back or through the bottom. Measures 4 13/16" by 2 5/8" by 2" deep.

Works great! I can't recommend all Leviton products (don't buy their GFCI sockets; they're prone to defects!) but this one performs just fine.

perfect
I needed to convert my dryer over to this setup for better comparability with newer appliances. Also the original outlet was 40+ years old and corroding. works perfectly. Comes with the right pieces to connect up the wires although the ground is a bit tricky to snake it through all the other connectors without causing a short.

Just what I needed
It's hard to find a complete dryer extension cord, so I connected this wall-mounted NEMA 14-30R receptacle to a separate dryer cord (that has a NEMA 14-30P plug but no receptacle) and I'm in business! Delivered within 24 hours, too!
