Welcome back Snoopizzle!
Judging by the cover that reminds us all of the classic Snoop from the early 90's in his Death Row career with Dr. Dre, this CD is the closest you can get to both his first album Doggystyle and the follow-up Tha Doggfather - proving he still had it in him all along. See, Snoop ventured into mainstream funk, blues, pop with the recent classics that still provoke a dance-move or two, but this CD shows his original roots in what gangsta rap has become. I have had tremendous joy blasting this in the car and on the speakers at home, the bass lines are great, and since Snoop himself has written all the lyrics, expect hardcore gangsta rap with a touch of lighthearted comedy for a great experience. The 2 tracks that stand out are Super Crip and Coolaid Man... Give it a try...highly recommended.

Worst production EVER on a Snoop album.
This is what I don't get with artists like Snoop, Eminem, and 50 Cent.... They have the money and access to just about any producer and yet, when it comes to their albums, they always end up with some of the worst beats. This album is no exception. I really like Snoop Dogg. I have every album. If you seen his youtube show GGN news...he makes fun of today's rappers and their styles. Funny, cause in this CD, he attempted their styles. And wtf is with the beat selection? Why would anyone pay Swizz Beats for production? He makes horrible beats. (I will even say this: Swizz Beats is the WORST industry producer EVER) Just Blaze just failed. The only beat worthy of replay value is the one Nottz made. It was a heavy sampled beat but it came out okay. Oh...that Timbaland track was good. Snoop, I thought cause you used similar artwork as your first album that you would go back to your roots and use some cool Dr Dre and Daz production. (okay, he did use one Daz beat here but that was weak) I strongly advise you to stay clear of this turd. There is no excuse for this. You have the money. You have hungry producers that would love to lace you with tracks. NEVER EVER EMPLOY Swizz Beats again. He really sucks.

This is a damn good cd. This artist has really good beats but his writing is what is always great. It is never silly and he actually has something to say. He has a bit of a sense of humor but he is serious. In his own right, he is a rock star even though he is a rapper. The CD jacket art that he uses is comic bookie kind of mad TV like. He kicks ass. I love his work

The first track doesn't sound right Snoop was trying the new school style but I was glad he went back to what he's good at after getting that off his chest. This is a good CD for any old or new snoop fan 14 is dope and swissy kills it on 18. Definitely a must have for long time snoop fans.

All his albums with Joe Cool artwork are classic
Snoop is holding true to the pattern. All his albums with Joe Cool artwork are classic, smooth gangsta s*** at it's finest. Out of the 20 tracks i would say 12 are either very good or great and my least fav. song "side piece" is still ok. Snoop is getting better with age.
