Works GREAT! Just make SURE you have a proper Amperage power adapter. I tried one of my older Dell power adapters, and it did not show charging. I swapped it for a higher amp charger, and sure enough, began charging right away without any issue.Highly recommend. New Dell small port chargers are only around $25 or less on the bay, so if this really won't work for your machine(s), get a new Dell brand charger.

I have several of the old dell power supplies (upstairs and down stairs, depending where i want to work) with the larger plug and was not trilled about having to replace with new dell laptops. I took and chance with this adapter and it works perfectly. Well worth the money!

Since this is a generic adapted it does not cover the electric contact point of your adapter entirely , beware of this important fact , it does what it's supposed to do ... But introduces an unnecessary electric shock risk

Have been using Dell computers for several years but the two newest need the smaller power supply plugs. Have become accustomed to having multiple power supplies, one in each place we use a computer so am happy to be able to make each power supply work for old or new computers with this simple adapter.

IF you have an older Dell charger with the large tip, THIS IS THE TICKET to use it with your newer Dell laptop that needs a small tip. Of course, make sure your voltage is the same (19.5V) and the amps (2.31A for 45W or 3.34A for 65W) are the same. BE CAREFUL though - some larger Dell chargers are 90W (4.6A), and your laptop might only be able to handle 45W/65W. Research that carefully. Anyhow, this got my older 65W classic PA-12 charger working perfectly with my wife's Inspron 5000 series. Since I have more of those chargers, a couple more of these tip converters will have her set up everywhere she works!

Things you don't know when you buy a computer: NO tips made for the Inspiron 1300 series charging port that come with any known adaptor device that has multiple tips. I travel on business. I need adaptors that play well with others, and do not have space to carry a charger for every device that only works with that device. So frustrated until I found this adaptor. I was concerned it wouldn't work, but it matches beautifully and charges perfectly. Also, great delivery and attentive service follow-up after the sale.

My Dell laptop came with the smaller charger plug. The plug goes in on the side and is straight instead of L-shaped. The plug got bent a couple of times when setting the laptop down. This adapter is L-shaped which means it is less vulnerable, plus it adapts the more common charger. Took 3 weeks to arrive.

This fits into the PC fine, but where your existing PSU connects it protrudes by a few mm. This makes it feel less secure.
