Substitute my Genesis G80 antenna for Sirius
I have a 2018 Genesis G80 and my Sirius xm would just randomly lose signal for long periods of time. I would use the XM reset... Reset the head unit and the XM radio signal would still be lost. Then it would just all the sudden start working. After some research I realized that the XM signal and GPS signal are likely in the same sharkfin or even using the same connections. The GPS signal could be causing interference. Or this just may be a case of an old/defective Sirius antenna being used by Genesis made from back in 2010 when Hyundai was still using soon to be outdated parts, such as 3G sunset telematics in 2020 vehicles which was bananas! I have a panoramic roof and using a hand magnet I also found that the sharkfin is not fully mounted to metal, it's mostly glass and abs plastic. Most Sirius antenna require it to be mounted on something metal for grounding and to increase the signal. I have an old Tahoe with aftermarket Sirius and it's never dropped a signal unless in a Garage Deck the Genesis was losing signal in broad daylight. Bought this new antenna and an adapter to the G80 head unit. I mounted this on the trunk corner of my car which is metal and also was a great spot for me to run the wire down the passenger side of the vehicle. The installation was about an 1hr and that was mostly me just taking my time to ensure it looks right. I also added small layer of 3M 15lb double sided tape to the mount to help it stay on. I don't go through car washes but this will take will be useful to avoid even knocking it off the magnet for durability. Currently no issues with this antenna and would recommend it. This is also a genuine Sirius antenna and not an aftermarket version.

Worked like a charm
My husband Can I live without his sirious in the car. Because it is an older model, it does not have Bluetooth or aux plugs so I have to use an external radio hook up. The radio kept saying check antenna. I saw no disconnection but it still wouldn't work so I was searching for a new radio altogether and came across this antenna hook up. I wasn't sure if this was going to work because I did not do a lot of research on the model numbers but knew that my radio was an XM radio. Voila at work like a charm. I unplugged the old antenna and plug the new one in and it works right away. The original one I had stuck to the roof of the car on the outside but read that someone else did it on the dashboard and that's what we did instead keeping it away from the elements. I'm very happy that this worked because it saved me a bit of money and a lot of mental anguish to re-register my radio. Highly recommend!

It will fit. There is a trick
The plug didn't fit at first. I learned after I bought this antenna that even though it's the same company, Sirius & XM still used 2 different connectors for a while after they merged. I have a 2009 Ford Escape & the plug is in the back of the radio. I didn't want to have to return/replace this one even though the product description doesn't mention the differences, & leave the radio sitting in my passenger seat while waiting for a compatible antenna. THE TRICK: File the outer lip/tip of the metal plug until it fits. I used a fine metal file which took under 5 minutes to shave it down enough to fit. It's a nice tight fit so you don't have to worry about it coming out. Obviously, make sure to clean the plug after filing so you don't get any shavings in the female end in the back of the radio module. With this fix, I now have perfect reception even with it sitting on my dashboard inside the vehicle when, with the original antenna, it dropped out in open air where there should've been no issues. I consider this to be a quality antenna.

Wow it works and stays connected!
I thought Sirius was horrible in the city with all of the tall buildings and streaming was the only way to go. Then I was out in an open area and could not maintain a signal. Looked up antennas and this one had all of the reviews about it's greatness. Let me just say, I tore open the dash, ran the new antennas wire all through the dash and outside the vehicle then stuck it to the roof using the built in magnet. Turned the radio on and oh my gosh did this thing not disappoint. I have not lost signal anywhere, even under a raised highway and between tall buildings. Hope you find the antenna before you waste money on any others. Just get this one and don't look back. Thank you to all of the other reviewers.

So easy to use
Works great on my 2013 f150. Route the wire in the door weather stripping. It sets beside the factory one .
