I’m a keyboardist, vocalist and I run sound for various applications. This guy attaches to my keyboard stand (I use the base of a second tier attachment) no problem. The clamp is actually metal (well made) and fits almost any application size-wise. The iPad stand is wide enough to hold my iPad Pro in its case. A lot of iPad stands don’t do that. So for me 5 stars all the way. Seems very durable too.

I use this to hold a 7" video monitor to my video camera tripod. The monitor is a bit deeper than most phones and such so just barely fits in the holder. I put some thin & narrow weather stripping on the inside of the "jaws" of the holder to make sure it gets a good grip. It's a bit rough getting it open wide enough (the spring is very strong, overall a good feature) while simultaneously putting the monitor into the clamp, but it does work and holds it securely. I understand that this is anything but a standard use, but this is the only mount I could find that would (a) open wide enough, and (b) was deep enough to hold a monitor that's almost 23mm in depth. Very satisfied and it works well.

Works great on separate stand. Cannot use this on same stand as microphone. Not even a boom stand as shown in picture. Easy hook up when tablet not in protective case. Can keep case on but make sure you connect all four prongs securely. Hard to pull apart and hold tablet. Need to place oneside at a time.

Simple to use but the part that slides and hooks up to the mounting clamp is made of plastic. I broke two tabs on the first try. I’m sure there are better mounts for iPads out there. This not being one of them.

This was a nice, compact tablet/phone holder while it worked. I really liked the clamp mechanism, which easily and securely clamped to microphone stands. Then one day the ball-joint lock nut cracked, and the mount would no longer hold it's position. Testor's glue did not hold it. Second gluing attempt, secured using a zip tie also failed to repair the lock nut. No information to obtain a replacement. So this item is no longer useful. Improve and reinforce the locking nut. Add a short offset beam. And this holder would be very good.

Perfect in my sailboat cockpit.

Pros: Quite a handy iPad holder which is firm, light and strong. Does the job and is exactly as described. In addition, the depth of the bracket is the best because this clamp can hold an iPad which is in a thick case. This is unlike most other holders in the market! Cons: The iPad's tilt up or down is limited by the vertical post of the microphone stand. I overcame this by adding an offset clamp. So now, the iPad can be tilted up or down through a larger arc without hitting the mic stand. However, I don't thing this will be a problem for most users. Summary: An excellent gadget and good value for money.

Having tried several similar products, to hold a tablet on a drum/cymbal stand, this is by far the best one. It would work just as well on a microphone stand. The quality, grip and sturdiness are all perfect. Just buy one and try it and you won't regret it.
