Divine Mercy in Salvation History
I am delighted with this beautiful Divine Mercy Catholic Bible and will mention some of the things that stand out for me. I would call it a devotional Bible. Its purpose is to show how the Divine Mercy runs through all of salvation history.Because this Bible represents a collaboration between The Great Adventure Bible and the Marian order which published St. Faustina's Diary, it has the same the footnotes, cross references, and maps as the GAB. It lies flat, has a sewn binding, and uses the RSV-2CE translation. To match its overall red and white design--the colors of the Divine Mercy image--it comes with two quite-long ribbons, a red one and a white one. The title on the soft and flexible leatherette front cover is in the same red and silver as the Divine Mercy figure below it. The red and silver are also reproduced in the words "Jesus, I Trust in You" on the bottom of the back cover, and right after the maps inside is a full-page color picture of the Divine Mercy as St. Faustina had it painted.Throughout the Bible, red accents occur on each page. They are a constant reminder of the merciful sacrifice of Jesus. The chapter numbers are red, as are the numbers of the psalms and proverbs. Each page has the name of the book in a red rectangle on the outer margin (like a flat tab). The words of Christ are a very vibrant red which really stands out.Although individual books in this Bible do not have introductions, the Table of Contents lists several introductory articles, including two about the Divine Mercy, as well as 17 other articles about the Divine Mercy under the headings: What is Divine Mercy, How Does Divine Mercy Come to Us, and Living Divine Mercy. Some of these articles list references that have additional information about the topic. For example, the article called "Jesus, Divine Mercy Incarnate" has a list of 10 places in the Bible where Divine Mercy is revealed in the paschal mystery of Jesus' death and resurrection. Each article begins with a large, black and white image of a saint, shrine, or work of art and often contains information about St. Faustina as well as quotations from her Diary. For those wondering about the size of the print of the Bible text, it is quite large, dark and easy to read. No problems. The bottoms of the pages show, in much smaller print, the cross references and occasional footnotes. A nice touch is that the lines on each page are aligned with those on the other side, so ghosting in minimal. As for the 175 Mercy Moments, the Table of Contents has an Index of all of them, so they are easy to find. They appear at the top of the page from time to time throughout the Bible. However, their print is much smaller than that of the Bible text: the same size as that of the Key Events in the Great Adventure Bible if you want to get an idea, and the same size as the footnotes both there and here. Since the print is dark, reading them is fine if you are reading one or two at one sitting. (Reading more than that might cause eye strain for older eyes, in which case a magnifying glass might be useful.)These Mercy Moments have some depth, often suggesting how they apply to us and quoting from St. Faustina, St. John Paul II, other saints, and various authors. I am finding them very helpful. They are usually 8-12 lines long. Each is numbered and has the Divine Mercy symbol next to it, both of which are then reproduced next to the Bible verse, usually on the same page or nearby, to which it refers, so it is easy to see the connection between the two.If you like to take notes, the final page of each book has quite a bit of blank space to jot down some notes and thoughts, as well as just a little room at the top of each page. I would be reluctant to use a highlighter, but underlining or highlighting with colored pencils might not show through. All in all, even if you already have several Bibles, I recommend adding this one to your collection. Where else will you find such a thoughtfully-designed, reasonably-priced Bible that focuses on the Divine Mercy in such a clear and engaging way?!

My favorite Bible
I have 9 Catholic bibles and this one is my favorite. Beautiful leather cover and a beautiful picture of the Devine mercy on the last page. The many sections on Devine mercy you will not find in any other Bible I highly recommend this to every one even if you already have a Bible. This is a great Bible to give as a gift and to display. The print is very readable and the size is perfect, not to big and not too small. I is very well made and the language is as it should be. The translation is as it should be. I love this Bible and is now my daily reader even better than my Saint Joseph Bible which is my go to for footnotes. The best $50 dollar Bible available. Buy it you will love it !!!Added after reading 10/1/2023What is different about this Bible are the explanations before the Old Testament and before the New Testament. The mercy moments outlined and highlighted throughout give you a better understanding about how to pray and to see God in a different light. Instead of a punishing God it helped me to focus on the mercy of God.This is his final warning. There will be no further revelations. Pass through the door of his mercy or pass through the door of his final judgement.God doesn’t condemn anyone. We condemn ourselves. Even the most lost soul is not beyond his mercy. He wants to save us up until our last breath.Trust in his mercy !

So Happy!
This Bible is wonderful!! The font is bold and easy to read. The words of Jesus are in a bright red. It’s easy to find the books of the Bible thanks to the red markings on the side of the Bible. The excerpts are beautiful. I literally had tears of joy today when I received it.

Worth every penny, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Divine Mercy Catholic Bible is worth every penny. It’s easy to understand, the additional information is very helpful and I really like that the words of our Lord is in red. The paper is of a very high quality. I just purchased a paper back bible and compared to my my Divine Mercy bible - the divine mercy bible has a much higher quality which makes it easier on the eyes when reading for long. I’m 100% satisfied with my purchase and highly recommend this product.

Very nice Catholic Bible!
This is a very nice Bible! I am new to Devine Mercy but not to reviewing Bibles! This Bible has a nice synthetic cover with a beautiful Jesus on the front! The book block is sewn, paper feels nice, print is bold and line matched with the print on the other side of the page. The text is well spaced and very readable. The words of Christ are in red, which I like (not all do!) Comes with two ribbon markers and 14 maps in the back. There are 58 pages about Living Devine Mercy in the back and numerous ‘Mercy Moment’ sections scattered throughout the Bible.I look forward to learning more about Devine Mercy, but I will also use this Bible for general reading. It uses my favorite Catholic translation (RSV-2CE!) This second Catholic edition RSV removes the ‘thees and thous’ and some other archaic language from the text!
