XXL Alaskan Moose Antler Chew for Big Dogs

This is my third time purchasing a moose antler for my 6 year old golden retriever. He really enjoys working on these, and is an avid gnaw-er...he really goes at it. The price 2 I purchased elsewhere, and have both lasted more than a year. They were smaller than this one by about a third, but MUCH denser. We gave him this one for Christmas and he ate most of it in a day. For the price, and based on prior moose antler purchases, I really thought this would last a similar amount of time as the others. I would probably repurchase one of those next time. He did really love chewing this one, but not noticeably more than the others.

The piece I received was about 14" long and 1" wide. My power chewer loved it and spent a whole hour working on it and gnawed off an inch or so. I don't see this as a negative since she has reduced cow femurs to nubbins, so this really didn't stand a chance. This will maybe last her for 6-8 hours of chewing before being too small. I'm not sure that is worth the price I spent to get another, but maybe for a special treat at Christmas.

Rottie and Cane Corso LOVE THESE!HOWEVER, this is the second time I have ordered these XXL Moose antlers. The first time they looked just like the picture and were ROCK SOLID, like Moose antlers are supposed to be. That is why I spent that much money on a "bone" was so my powerful chewers wouldn't destroy them. This time around, the antler looked just like the others, but was sooo light, it felt like old, dried out wood. My boy had it half destroyed within 10 minutes. When I took it away, they were pieces all over, like he had chewed a 2 x 4 apart. I also noticed that it seemed to be moldy or mildewy. It appears that this time around, I got a very old antler that had been hanging out in the forest on the group for a long, long time.I returned this one (Thank you Amazon for the ease of it all), but am disappointed that such a poor quality antler would be sent out. The only reason we order Moose Antlers over deer, or elk, or beef bones, is because they are advertised as being soo much more durable for the powerful chewers.My dogs wish they had another STRONG antler.

Disregard the negative reviews this is a good and fresh product. Moose antlers especially the paddles are suppose to be soft, this is a good thing because unlike white tailed deer or elk antlers they won’t fracture your dog’s teeth.

It only lasted a day. Given the price I would hope it would last much longer. I have a one year old Pit mix.

My dog loved it but it didn't last as long as I had hoped.

My Dogs obsess over this thing. I have to take away after an hour. One problem is when they get a chunk off and swallow it. They can't digest it and I have to clean it up later when they vomit it up.

I gave this to my dog less than 30 minutes ago and he is already gnawing away at it. A small portion is missing from his short chew time. He does enjoy this chew, but it is much less dense and durable than others I have purchased at similar price points. Will not buy again.
