Muck BootMen's Excursion Pro Low Shoe

I have worn other models of Low Muck Boots for years, and this is my favorite so far. My biggest criticism of my previous boots has been that they were slippery on wet grass or mud, but the new design for the soles on this pair seems a great improvement. I have regularly gone up and down a slippery muddy hill since I got these, and I have yet to slip once. The Express Cool construction is also an improvement. Since I got these, we have had weather in the mid-70s, and my feet are not getting as hot and sweaty as with previous Low Muck Boots. I would definitely buy these again.

This is the upgraded/slightly nicer version of the standard Muck low shoe. I have had the other one for over 4 years and it finally wore out.I have a concern that there are multiple reports of tread separation on the soled. When looking at both shoes, they seem almost identical accept the standard Muck is a single solid sole that wraps around the shoe. This one clearly has a glued on component.Fit is just like all Mucks. If you know your size, it will fit.I did add a shoe insert, a Superfeet green. It adds a needed arch support if you want that kind of support.The "sock" that holds your foot in place is a little more supportive than the standard Muck, but this adds to the stability of the shoe. It is somewhat more difficult to slip on secondary to this improved liner.Overall, at present, I am very happy. It looks good enough to wear around town, but is great for muddy days when you have to walk the dog or just do yard work.

As identified in the prior reviews, these shoes run small. I wear an 8.5 dress shoe so I ordered the 8 which fits perfectly. They are initially narrower than some shoes such as a Keen but fit comfortably within hours. For work outside and walking in the woods I alternate between these and Keen Utility Pittsburgh Steel toe boots. The Muck's are as comfortable as track shoes!

We were happy with these shoes at first. Then after a couple of months the bottom tread started coming loose from the shoe. My husband trying gluing back on, but it didn't stay very well. Now, he wore them today and the whole sole is separating from the shoe. I understand it has been 8 months and I told him he should not have glued them, we should have sent them back right away, but he hasn't even worn them most of the winter. He has been wearing his muck boots. I am totally disappointed in this product. It's hard to believe this is a muck product.

Gift for my active 87 yo father. The fit was great and he liked the loop in the back that made it easy to get the shoes on.

I was looking for a good replacement for my old farm shoes, mostly something for light chores and gardening. These look like they will fit the bill, I am curious to see how well the sole stays bonded. They fit fine with socks, as expected, they are a little wide and without half sizes a little long without them. Not bad but without the socks they don't feel "stable under a load". They have a springy insole and are very comfortable.

Great shoes/boots. I wear them regularly for walking the dogs in wet grass. Best I've ever had for this purpose!!!
