Yes, it is plastic. The stem is lightweight plastic, and the petals are film. I used it to make an Enchanted Rose. Drilled two holes in the base of a bell jar, one to set the rose in, and one for the l.e.d. fairy lights. Whole project cost next to nothing.

No. Its very plastic and lightweight. If your looking for something more durable this is not it. They are good for centerpieces if your not planning on keeping for to long.
