Heed the negative reviews!
I don't really have anyone else to blame but myself for purchasing this product, I read the negative reviews but endeavored forward nonetheless, enticed by the idea of a cat toy that would run automatically in my absence.I can't be emphatic enough, this product is wholly useless.First off, the most basic function, that you be able to situate it, is terribly thought out and executed. It uses a suction cup, I attached it to several different surfaces, a metal file cabinet, a smooth wooden desk, and a glass table. In each instance the toy freely slid back and forth, the suction was strong enough to make it difficult to pull up and off, but the toy would EASILY slide all over the table while staying attached by the suction cup. When the cat grabbed the toy and pulled the toy would simply slide until it went right over the edge of the table.I finally abandon the suction cup and affixed the toy to a table using a screw through the same hole that the suction cup was using, and voila, it worked perfectly. For a couple of days that is. When it worked, you would push the button, it'd make its noise, then tease the cat for 10 minutes or so. This is what it did for the first two days. Then, it just stopped doing that, pushing the button would have it work for maybe 10-20 seconds before it would stop. And at this point the auto-on feature ceased to work completely. I even went out and bought fresh new batteries to see if that was the issue, but no, same deal, toy would run for about 10-20 seconds before quitting. So now I had a paperweight. Not wanting this to be a complete waste I removed the spring and teaser attachment and stuck it on one of the fans. Just as a way to get the toy to be on something that would make it move and sway, it worked surprisingly well. The fan's movement and air flow had the toy doing all sorts of dances that piqued my cat's interest. Several hours later the cat managed to pull the toy off the string, the string itself had torn and come apart (which surprised even me, given the string's elastic nature). So within a week (a few days really) every aspect of this toy failed, its ability to be situated, its motor, and the toy itself, I don't see how this product got past the design and test phase (I can only imagine there wasn't much of either). Heed the numerous negative reviews on this product, DO NOT BUY!

I, too, should have heeded the reviews.
The first one I got didn't work at all - it would make some bird chirping noises for a few seconds and then shut off. I returned it.The second one I got worked okay, except my cat was able to easily pull it off of every surface I tried attaching it to. So I finally came up with a good solution: I attached it with binder clips. That held it in place. Then the string snapped, so I repaired it.Then my cat pulled the ball off, so I repaired it.Then my cat destroyed the ball, so I replaced it with a mouse. Then my cat lost interest, and the whole thing stopped working, even with new batteries.Complete garbage.

It's heavy and it falls off easy. Even from a counter
This does NOT work as promised! It doesn't even come with those toys as shown.Rather a large ball, on a thin string that any cat is sure to have off in a sec. which ours did.Followed the directions. It barely stays on for 3 min. Shuts off.Tried the endless play. Same thing. You have to suction to a table. I don't suggest suctioning it to any windows. It's heavy and it falls off easy. Even from a counter. The cat got hit on the head.So much for cat playing while away. They'll have to stick to finding things to play with when we're away.

No Good!
This toy arrived broken! The only thing it does is chirp! In addition, while I was trying to put the teaser onto the toy, my cat pulled on it and it pulled apart from the elastic! I sure wouldn't buy a replacement teaser if they come apart that easily! A waste of money!Update. I received a replacement toy from the seller. While I appreciate that they sent a replacement and I was at least able to assemble it, it seems that this toy is not as advertised! It chirps but that's all it does--no movement of the toy whatsoever! My cat lost interest almost immediately and I had to tape it to the table to keep it from falling off.

Ok toy, but not the greatest
The item never worked right from the beginning. Had to try three sets of new batteries to get it to work. When the batteries finally worked the device made such a loud noise the cat was scared and it never did move around just side to side about half an inch. It also does not stick to flat hard surfaces, and I tried many. I ended up taking the batteries out and just setting in on my bookcase and my cat will play with the feather at the end. I thought about sending it back, but it would have cost to much to send back and did not feel like dealing with it. My cat does play with it, but usually he is just running around the floor chasing it.

First one didn't work, Second one my cat wasn't interested in
The first shipment was broken so I returned it for a new one. The second one my cat was not interested in. She loves the automatic laser and is a very active cat but we couldn't get her to play with this at all. I think it moves to slow for her and the motor noise creeps her out a bit. I didn't have any problems with it sticking to surfaces and if the string ever breaks you can tie a new one to it.. not rocket science here folks. I only bought it because it was cheap on sale & I'm away from home a lot and wanted my cat to be able to play when I'm not there. Back to the drawing board.

not what I thought
I wanted something that would come on through the day to entertain my cat and this said it comes on 3 times. not exactly. the first time, you turn it on, then only two more. well, I don't need it to entertain my cat when I turn it on because I haven't left for work yet so he ignores it. it doesnt suction real well (I don't have a glass tabletop tho). it beeps and then runs for like ten minutes but the beep has kinda trained my cat to know that he doesn't need to get up and investigate the noise. I wouldn't recommend it unless they could make it come on more often or with a timer.
