A gem of a book on teamwork!
Oscar Stone has left no stone unturned in turning out a gem of a book on teamwork. He presents the reader with engaging lists of positive and negative leadership traits, what do to and what to avoid doing, all drawn from his practical and hard-won experience of what works and what doesn’t. I was especially intrigued with Stone’s chapters on diversity and emotional intelligence. As regards diversity, you’ll learn diversity’s pluses and minuses, and the challenges you’ll need to overcome to leverage this business accelerator. One particular tip is to employ blind auditions. One particular advantage is to be able to tap into the world of ever more diverse customers. As regards emotional intelligence, you’ll learn the value of connecting and bonding with your employees to bring out their creativity, loyalty, and love of their jobs, something that your customers will definitely notice and appreciate. Overall, I think you’ll find Stone’s lists of leadership traits highly valuable in holding up a prism to evaluate and improve your team, your company, and yourself. Bottom-line, I highly recommend this book!WJB, author: "Strategy Pure and Simple: Essential Moves for Winning in Competition and Cooperation" and "George Washington's Liberty Key" https://amazon.com/Strategy-Pure-Simple-Competition-Cooperation/dp/1986671054/ and https://amazon.com/George-Washingtons-Liberty-Key-Bastille/dp/1537323377/

Great advice for the leader inside all of us.
Although this book is aimed at people in leader ship positions as I read the book I realize this could be used for many occasions. When interacting with family members or a large group you happen to be in. It really has great advice it was very interesting to read as well as well researched. I really like that he says a good leader is like a trunk of a tree and a gift support and a good leader is also humble because those who aren’t humble don’t say their own faults. There’s even advice on how to make your group more diversified and how to bring out the ones who don’t speak up for this selves. I really enjoyed reading this and appreciate all the advice. It is a book I highly recommend!

Leadership is not about authority. It's about bringing the people around you up
This is a wonderful guide on teamwork and how powerful it is. I feel people feel that leadership is about someone who has authority. But, no. It is about someone who knows how to move and motivate people around them. To give them what they need to perform. You are always in a leader position somewhere in your life. Whether it's with moments with friends or an aspect of your career, it's important to be a strong and dependable team member because success is all about the team. I highly recommend this book to everyone. Even if you're not in a position in your career directly and officially managing a team, you need this book. These are attributes and advice that stretch to all areas of your life.

Insightful
A short book about how to improve your leadership skills; the author, Oscar Stone, is known for writing books that are short, to-the-point, and quickly elaborated. This is one of the most interesting books I have read in the business leadership field, and I hope you will study it yourself. Thinking is hard, but I think you can do it with this creative approach! Very insightful and the best of that I have read.

My New “Top Favorites” Leadership Book
As a supervisor in my organization I believe this book should be a prerequisite for anyone moving into a supervisor position and read by every current supervisor. The author defines leadership in detail and pinpoints an accurate mix of the qualities a leader must possess in order to be an effective leader. Moreover and importantly, the book explains what NOT to do as a leader and goes into specific details on the costs of poor leadership. This book is a top favorite leadership book for me with no fluff to fill in gaps, just specifics that should be applied by every team leader.I highly recommend it!

Leadership matters!
It is shocking to me how much the quality of leadership in this country has dropped in the last 25 years. This book gives an excellent overview of what great leadership looks like, as well as how leaders can consistently improve by following a few key steps. There are many actionable steps that leaders can take to improve, and many great examples of effective leaders with different styles. As the author says, the cost of poor leadership is just too high to tolerate. Kudos to the author for embracing diversity as a core value. An excellent, timely book!

Quick read, one of my favs
This book is so good. Like most other books it starts with quoting factual studies, here I was thinking: great another one of these. But then after the intro it dives into it then I was hooked. On average it will take me a month or two to read a book like this of 156 pages (slow reader). I couldn't put this one down and it took me just a bit over a week. I also recommended writting down notes at the end of the book like it suggested. I'm usually not one to do this but I did it this time and liked that I did
