Versatile Rack Vr2 Safe Handgun Rack, 4.75"X5.25"x5.5", Gray, Holds 2 Guns

Like others, I was concerned by the review by FloydFan. It made little sense to me that a manufacturer would not extensively test the coating with the solvents and lubricants used on fire arms. I decided to run my own quick and dirty test. On a single gun rack I tested ten solvents and lubricants using a large cotton ball about half saturated with a given product. Each ball was wrapped in several layers of plastic, and taped to the rack. A label was added identifying each product. I used the following, including my two favorites*. Bore Tech Eliminator Bore Cleaner*, CorrosionX dry Lube*, Montana Extreme Bore Solvent, Kano Kroil, Otis Special Forces Gun Lube, Gunzilla Gun Cleaner, Hoppe’s Castrol Synthetic Gun Lube, Hoppe’s #9, Hoppe’s Lubricating Oil, Butch’s Gun Oil. Not an exhaustive list, nor does it include the Rem Oil cited by FloydFan, but it includes good representative solvents and lubricants. The test ran from Jan 11 – April 13, one month longer than cited by Floydfan. I removed all applications washed with detergent and water, and noted the only visible change or damage to the vinyl was bubbling caused by the Gunzilla Gun Cleaner. All other application sites appear and feel unchanged.

Sturdy and seems durable. It does what it says. Helps to organize the safe. Does the job. A bit pricey in my opinion but wouldn't want to give up sturdiness for a few bucks.

Very nice addition to my gun safe shelves. Keeps my pistols safe, sound, and easily accessible. Rubber coating protects against scratching.

Quality product, works as expected. Getting the pistols off the floor of the safe increases storage space for magazines and ammo.
