I absolutely hate wooden knife blocks, I hate that they will go out my stainless steel knives, and I will absolutely refused to put my ceramic knives into a wooden knife block. What can i say, i bought these because it just looked stunning and would make my kitchen visibly more brighter and really give it some colour which it definitely did. The slots are nice and firm allowing my knives to slide into place firmly and securely.At first i thought the block wouldn’t be strong but i was wrong, its really rigid and light at the same time which is fantastic. Overall i like the color, shape, and mechanism with the unique V-slot design. Its portable and easy to clean due to the hole underneath allowing water to exit from the bottom. Simprium done a good job with this product i feel its really going to be liked by those who buy it because it works and looks just awesome.

I really like this knife block. It is well made, looks good, holds a lot of knives and unobtrusive. I like that it's clear so I can make sure that I'm selecting the correct knife. The knives slip through slots in the top and you can see by the photos there is a second level of slots that help hold the knives in place. Also, it arrived quickly and the price is good.I started to hunt for something to hold knives safely and securely in our RV. I've purchased 4 other types of holders for knives recently and this is the only one I like. I like it so much I'm keeping it for the house and will order another for RV.

Very nice way to store your knives. The slotted design works very well - knives are easy to insert and remove with just enough resistance to keep them in place. Even though it is a tall cylinder, it seems like it is weighted properly and does not want to tip over. It easily hold 6 steak knives a paring knife a 6 inch chef knife and a vegetable cleaver with room to spare. I think this is a much better option then a bamboo or wood block if you have different types of knives you want to store.

Material makes it show every finger print and it doesn't clean well. Bigger than I wanted. Curious of they have one for one or two knifes only

I was skeptical that this knife block would hold as many knives as advertised. It will hold up to 12 but the more knives you put in,the harder they are to get out as they are hard to reach. You will also lose room if the knife handles are too thick, you will have to use every other slot instead of every slot. I placed my knives in order of size, smallest to the right, made it easier to just reach and grab the one I need. I feel that the blades are well protected from anything that would dull them. I really like the fact that this does not take up a lot of real estate on my counter.

I like it because it's compact and holds all the knives that I have (which isn't a ton. I believe in quality, not quantity!). It's also portable so I can bring it to where I am preparing food. I have a very small kitchen, which is what made me consider it in the first place and I am happy with the purchase!

We use ceramic knives. The blades are thicker than steel knives and they do not fit well in any knife storage system we have found. Then we found the SimPrium knife block. So simple - and so effective. This should wipe most of the other solutions off the market. The only improvement I can suggest is to make the cylinder somewhat transparent. Because there is no fixed order for the knives to be stored it would be helpful to be able to see the blades when selecting a particular knife. This is going to be at the top of our gift giving list. Hard to believe someone didn't think of this centuries ago.
