Good deal on true Cat6 outdoor ethernet cable
I was looking to extend my in-home network by placing a switch and a wireless network extender at the far end of my house (on a different floor from my router, to boot). Rather than go through walls and floors, I decided to go around them (along the outside of the house). And I needed an outdoor ethernet cable. This is a great price for outdoor Cat6 ethernet cable. It came quickly (kudos to the seller), and was clearly marked as Cat 6 cable. The connectors are as pictured. It was the advertised 100 feet in length. When connected between the router and the switch, it carries the signal. And so all is right with the world. If you have a few things that are likely to stay in place when you use them (television, streaming box, desktop computer), an ethernet connection will always give you the best signal. And if you are constrained by aesthetics (or a spouse with aesthetic sensibilities) from drilling through floors and walls, consider running your ethernet outside, with an outdoor cable like this. It will take a bit of time, but it will make you (and others in your household) happy--and reserve your wireless capacity for roving devices (phones, tablets, laptops and the like).

Overall good experience. Only negative was that I cut off ...
Received it quick. When I installed on outside of house I had no issues. Overall good experience.Standard cable holding clips worked and I used a 1/4" wall drill which the cable fit through snugly.Only negative was that I cut off the plugs and used the cable ends for punch down wall plugs. The wires are very fragile, I had wires break off about 4 or 5 times before I finally got a good installation. My tester said it was good and the LAN seems stable and normal speed.I would like to say that this fragile wire issue isn't unique to this brand. Solid copper and in small sizes is going to have the issue.I have experienced this other times and in other brands. I only tell you about it so if you leave cable hanging out of your wall plate waiting to be punched down, you may want to leave a little extra in case of breakage and cutting back and starting over. It happens to the best of us. :-)

A Good Cable
When I decided to wire my 100 year old house with Ethernet there were two runs up to the second floor where I had to run outside the walls. I bought this cable to handle those sections. It feels a little heavier than regular Cat6 and is slightly less flexible too. Neither is an issue. If anything, the feel of it inspires confidence in the UV and waterproofing. I did have a small issue when adding new plugs to the cut sections of wire. The internal twisted pairs seem to also have a little extra protection too and this made it harder to slide the wires all the way to the front of the plug.Despite the extra work, I did get a good crimp and solid connection the first time. A cheap Ethernet Cable Tester is highly recommended for this stuff. I wouldn't want to wire a whole house with it because of the extra work, but I think that it is well worth it for any outside runs.

Very nice cable.
I had cut this down into a few smaller lengths (and crimp my own ends), so I was able to get a look at the construction, and its very nice. Transmission speeds between my NAS and desktop computer over a 50 ft length of this cable were clearly better than over a crappy 3 ft piece of Cat 5e that came with some router or other networking device I recently purchased. With the 3 ft Cat 5e, transmission speeds were hovering at 100 MB/s whereas with 50 ft of this Cat 6 cable, I was seeing 110-115 MB/s (saturating the 1 gbps link).

Good quality cable at a excellent price
I purchased this cable twice. Once I used it to run a dedicated internet line to my sons room for his X-box live to speed up his connection. I also purchased another cable to run a internet connection between 2 buildings at my church. It seems to be good quality and still flexible enough to snake through openings and around obstacles.Similiar cables are almost double the price.

Heavy duty cable for exposed outdoor installation.
Bought for exposed outdoor run along outside wall of building. Good quality cable in a jacket that looks like it will stand the test of time. Cable arrived with a nick in the jacket. Fortunately this was near one end and one end would have to be removed to get the cable through the wall during installation anyway. Overall a good purchase.
