It's significant that nowhere on the watch, or in the accompanying advertising/documentation does it mention where the watch is made. The watch looks like your basic mechanical pocket watch with a little extra decoration. The movement reminds me of the Unitas series of ETA movements. These used to come in various levels of decoration, and range in price from roughly $200 ("don't bother with a see through back" level of ugly) to $600 for a nicely done, if not exceptional level of decoration.This particular watch, however, isn't an authentic Unitas; it's one of the Asian copies. You get slightly coarse "Geneva" striping on the plates and bridge work, fully, but not entirely evenly done, blued screws. Gear finish, including the escape wheel is OK, but nothing special. The anchor at least doesn't have any extra glue blobs on it. Jewels are fairly large, and set in countersunk holes. There is no decoration on the winding gears.Flip the watch over and you get a dial textured in the center by a pattern of short lines. The Roman numerals are black, not the gray indicated in the image. The sub seconds is an undecorated circle in the textured zone of the dial. The rest of the numbers sit in a ring that extends out from the sub-seconds dial. All in all, it's a nicely done dial. The sub-second hand does not match the style of the other two hands, but that is a minor flaw.Looking at Amazon, it seems that genuine Unitas pocket watches start at $500-$600, and that the Swiss are abandoning the lower end of the market to the Asian manufacturers. They can provide you a decent, simple, good looking watch for under $200. And you get more than the watch, you get a good quality, rather long chain to go with it.Edit 2016-03-27: More detailed looking at the movement and face yields the following. There is a lot of dirt under and in the teeth of the winding barrel gear. There is also some dirt on the balance cock. On the face, the minute hand is bend slightly to the right. Accuracy is -2 to 5 seconds per day. Downgraded one star.

This is a very beautifull pocket watch reminiscent of one made in the 1920s or '30s! It's well made and the hand wound 17 jewel movement keeps pretty good time! (it's a very beautifully made Chinese copy of a Swiss pocket watch movement. It's the 3rd one I own with this movement!)

I got two of them, both stopped working after one month!!
