BlendtecC575A2323A-AMAZONC Classic 575 Blender, Plastic, White

I've been using blenders for a long time. I make shakes with frozen fruits and vegetables which is VERY challenging for any blender. I've tried the other 2 big brands but they couldn't do it.Then I tried Blendtec. It does the best job and I'm especially happy to buy a product made here in the U.S.BUT if you're Blendtec and ur reading this, for goodness sake, can you please put a normal lid on the top. I'm having to keep the lid closed by holding my hand on it. Does that make any sense?

I've wanted real blender for a long time (your typical Oster type blender never really works). Finally I have a blender with POWER. My kids have made smoothies EVERY day since i got it and i make "frozen coffees" like Chick-fil-a's. Just add your ingredients (make sure you have some liquid in there), push the smoothie button and let it go. A minute later- perfect. It is loud. That's the only draw back. And it has several buttons that they really dont explain what they're for. That's why i gave 4 stars for easy to use - only bc the other buttons could be explained better in the instructions. This was definitely worth the money!

First thing first, this is my very first "high end" blender. I've only ever had walmart blenders before. I have zero experience using a high end blender and have nothing to compare it to except cheap blenders.This blender is incredible! The biggest reason I got this blender was because I make homemade laundry soap that I've taken to calling "Blender Slayer Soap" because it burns up the motor on cheap blenders every 6 months or so. I also have a smoothie for breakfast most mornings and it's always a struggle to get them smooth and chunk free.So how does it work on soap? I ordered this blender when mine died in the middle of a batch of soap. It arrived very quick and I was amazed how easily it handled my soap. I just dumped it in and my soap was whipped in seconds, incredible! The only downside is I can't put the blade on a mason jar but it's a small price to pay for a blender that won't be burned up by my soap.What about smoothies? It also makes the most amazing smoothies! I put in frozen fruit, oats, chia seeds and whatever else I'm adding and use the smoothie button. Once i figured out the ratio of solids to liquids, I no longer have to touch it. Just push the button and have a perfect smoothie.UsesI've used this thing on so much just to see how it does. It grinds coffee better than my coffee grinder. It makes the most amazing restaurant style salsa and if you do small batches and pulse carefully, it also makes good chunky salsa but the food processor was easier. Sauces and gravies are a breeze. I hope to try soups and hummus soon.Cleaning and Ease of UseIt's very easy to clean, just add soap and water, run the clean cycle, then rinse, so easy. I did put it in the dishwasher after putting jalapenos in it just so I wouldn't accidentally have a nasty spicy smoothie.It's fairly easy to use but because it's so basic but powerful it can be a lot of trial and error in the beginning to figure out which settings are the best to use for each thing you make. Other than that it's quite simple.Final ThoughtsI would highly recommend this blender! It has totally changed how I think about blenders. I always thought of them as a necessary evil because the do a job you need done but with so much work and frustration. Now I love using the blender because it's so easy.

Depending on what you stuff into it, this thing can sound like a wrench getting sucked through a jet engine. However, it blends waaaay better than the three other less expensive blenders I owned before it. Makes the smoothest smoothies I've ever had, or at least that I've ever made for myself. So far, I'm in love with it, and have wound up sucking all my meals through a straw lately as a result.Smoothie mode is pretty awesome. Clean mode is equally awesome for cleaning up afterward. A countdown timer lets you know how long you've got before it stops waking up your neighbors and risk getting shot at as you leave your house. There is a little off switch toggle on the back that you can't see in the photos and allows you to always keep the blender plugged in without fear of accidentally turning it on with the push buttons (this is important). The push buttons (and lack of knobs) makes the base very easy to wipe clean (this is also important).I purchased the Blendtec over the Vitamix primarily because of cost and size. The Classic 575 fits under my cupboards much more easily than the Vitamix. I also purchased the 46 oz Mini Wildside Jar along with it so that I could keep the entire unit under my cupboard for daily personal use and making smoothies for myself rather than an entire troop of Boy Scouts. Lacking the knobs of the Vitamix, I also felt the base of the 575 blender would be easier to keep clean.If I had one niggling complaint (aside from the noise, which is unavoidable in a blender this powerful), I'd say that the base could be a bit heavier as the blender does tend to jump around a bit when blending frozen or relatively hard objects (like carrots and broccoli). This makes it louder, and also begs you to keep a hand on it while it's blending those items. Of course, having a much heavier base like that of the Vitamix would make it harder to move around on the counter top when you actually want to move it.

I love love love my Blendtec Blender. Did tell you I love my Blendtec. I used a nice little Osterizer for years and I just got use to having to clear the food at the bottom to mix in with everything else in the blender. This is not the problem with the Blendtec. It has amazing chopping power and you do have to scrap food down off the sides, but it is so fast it is a joy to use. I do love the red color also.
