PurfluxL264A Engine Oil Filter

Purflux used to be the OE supplier for GM in the 2.2/2.4 Ecotec. They still make their excellent cartridge for this application. (The OE supplier is now Hengst, which also makes good filters, but I like the Purflux design better)Like most Purflux oil filters, the L264A features their signature Chevron pleats. This allows them to pack more filtering media into the same space.Also, many cartridge oil filters tend to buckle in service, and that happens often in the Ecotec. The chevron pleats may provide some protection against that, and will stay intact throughout the duration of the oil change.
