Not like its made out to be as not much info,website it mentioned no longer exists and its a VERY thin book!

The author provides information about dog vaccines, the possible adverse effects, the benefits of what she calls the core set, and the lack of benefit for others. She includes information about how long immunity lasts for each vaccine (usually lifetime after 1 shot for the core vaccines, maybe 6 months for others). The economic benefits to vets of 1 or 3 year vaccination schedules do not match the realities of true immunities. The information she provides is founded on published research and can also be found in the American Animal Hospital Association Canine Guidelines.Definitely worth reading for any dog owner.

Concise and to the point, and backed up by plenty of science thanks to long term studies on dogs.Just what you need to know- no more- no less.

I have read at least 4 books on the pet vaccination issue, and this book is BY FAR the best one. It is well written and very understandable, and covered just the right amount of detail for a dog-owner consumer like me. More authors should take note of the great balance Dr. Croger achieves in her writing style and appropriate content.
