Went by too fast
Loved the story, but the book wasn't as long as I was hoping. On the thinner side with big font.

4.5. Definitely a cute one.
I enjoyed this read. There wasn’t a lot of angst and drama, I appreciate that. Carter was a likable character; very sweet and attentive. I like how rational he was with his feelings.Julia was interesting, mostly likable tho a little off the wall with her thinking sometimes. One thing I didn’t like was no real backstory with their business’. Just they have them and they’re very successful. (Yay lol.)Also, she lost me with the “drama” towards the end. I don’t feel it was a realistic way of adding strife nor was it necessary. It made me turn my nose up a bit.Anyway. Over all, a very enjoyable read.

one of my favorite tropes!!!!!
I thought this was a very well written story!!!! And I absolutely love that Carter realized first that he wanted more. I do recommend this sorry I find it very cute.

perfection
This was so sweet. The pacing was perfect. An absolute joy the entire time. I loved that there was some drama but not a big third act break up.It follows the brothers best friend trope well but it was the perfect balance of slow burn and insta love. The history between Jules and carter was so tender and it made their chemistry palpable.I saw this book in a fb sponsored post and took a leap and so glad I did!!

Fun and Flirty - great 4.5 Star Romance!
This was such a fun read! Full of banter, steamy hot scenes and heartfelt moments - this book will make you fall in love with Carter and Julia! After getting dumped by her boyfriend of over two years - Julia decides to make herself a husband checklist in order to move on and get her life back on track. And who better to help her achieve her goals than her brothers best friend and business partner Carter. Oh and he just happens to be her temporary roommate and childhood crush -absolutely no chance for shenanigans - just kidding!I enjoyed that this book was more about Julia finding herself and accepting her imperfections rather than just achieving her husband checklist. True to her young age of 23, Julia was a little to naive for me at times, but with age comes wisdom and she is not there yet. Carter is definitely a man worth having a crush on - sexy, thoughtful and generous- especially in the bedroom. The push and pull between the Carter and Julia trying to figure out if their fling could turn into something more added the ideal amount of tension to the story. Add in the overprotective brother who is not happy about any relationship involving his baby sister- you definitely have fun read. There were some good twists and turns to the book to keep the story interesting and had me staying up late to finish. 4.5 stars for me!

Cute Story
This story was cute with minimum angst. I can appreciate that ,because real life isn't normally over the top full of angst. There were a few surprises, but nothing too out of the norm that you wouldn't expect. Julia and Carter were mostly on the same page and had good communication. Like I said, a cute read.

An Author Unpublished Book Review
As far as the usual contemporary romance goes, this one was okay. It started well - I loved Carter, particularly as a character, and the romance had a lot of good sexual tension to drive the beginning of the story forward. But it wasn't perfect. As the story wore on, the character's decisions and actions started to make less sense, and things got more dramatic. I rolled my eyes when the whole hospital sequence came along - not only is that not how hospitals work, but that's not how pregnancy works. The events weren't accurate at all, and it was harder to suspend my disbelief and continue to enjoy the story.Overall, the story was decent, and if you need a quick romantic read to waste an afternoon, then this one is as good as many others, but the story takes a hit in the latter half, and it didn't end up being a great book.

Carter & Julia - Nice love story
Carter is Julia's brother's best friend but also her own childhood friend. They haven't seen each other much for a couple of years as Julia lived with her partner and had become somewhat reclusive since her parents died. They end up living together after Julia splits with her boyfriend then enjoy a weekend in Vagas (Julia has a very funny night out!)Carter doesn't want a relationship due to the example of his mum's 5 marriages! But they don't really know how to be friends any more after Vagas and Julia's brother wouldn't approve if anything more. Not deeply emotional but fun read with a HEA!

Easy read
Julia and Carter have been friends forever and after her sudden break up things progress.Getting over the big brother issues and a little misunderstanding things are easy. A little too sweet in places but an ok read.

Overall 4 stars
I enjoyed it a lot, in fact it would have been 5 stars but there was two too many times that Julia just really annoyed me. She is great, but she just acted very naively and irrationally a couple times in a way that didn’t make sense or add much to the story, at least the first time it didn’t.
