PickWorld Guitar Picks (MG3D-4)

The grip is an ingenious idea. The pick itself is a run-of-the-mill .88 Tortex pick: don't buy this if that's all you're looking for, as you can buy the Dunlop (and other) versions for less money. But the grip is fantastic, for two reasons. First, it's as nonslip as you can get. Many other pickmakers have come up with grip solutions, and some are as grippy as this in their own way (for example, the Dunlop Max-Grip and Snarling Dogs Brain Pick approaches).What makes this grip approach unique is that it adds substantial additional thickness to the grip portion of the pick. It's basically like having the gripping thickness of a roughly 3mm pick with the pick material (Tortex or celluloid) of your choice in gauges from .60 to 1.14.While I've always like .88 Tortex picks, there are others I prefer, and so I've been buying these PickWorld picks just to cannibalize the rubber grips (wish they sold them separately).

I've been taking guitar lessons for about two months, and my teacher mentioned that pick preference is highly individual and that I would need to try multiple picks before deciding which one felt the most comfortable. I took his advice, tried out a sampler pack from Dunlop, as well as several other brands, and so far I really like this PickWorld pick the most. It just feels more "substantial" and secure, while giving me more control over the strings. Maybe my preference will change over time and personal proficiency, but for now, this is my go-to pick.

My fingers seem to be weaker and don't grip a pic the way they should. I ordered this thinking it might help and it is a total game changer. I can now hold on to the pic without it slipping around in my fingers or falling off completely. I'm really happy with these!

An awesome pick that stays in your hand sounds great. I now use nothing else.

great pick. Can use any teardrop pick inserted into the rubber holder, which keeps the pick in the right position & prevents slipping.
