Amazing for blacksmithing hammer eye drifts.
The steel is easy to file and Smith compared to 1040, but is still much more durable than brass or aluminum and can be used as a hot punch or chisel, my only criticism is that buying a piece of 1045, a higher quality steel, that weighs 8 times as much, is only several dollars more expensive than this mild steel.
