I bought this for the boat. I wanted something that could stand up to the weather. It has a lot of options for mounting to every type of rail, deck or even freestanding. I ordered the 15" grill and it easily handles 4 New York Strip steaks. If you use skewers, break them in half so you can move them around easier.I highly recommend you get the grill bag for this if you do not leave it permanently installed. It helps organize grill utensils, the grill and its attachments and helps keep your boat clean from grease.One point is when installing, ensure you get this LEVEL. This is really important. If it leans one way or another, the hot spot will be at the highest side / point. I had to make some adjustments.It also cooks really well and I was very surprised to be honest, especially in +12MPH winds.

I love having a floating kitchen on my pontoon. I have had my Magma for over 10 years, it was originally on my cruiser and when I downsized to a pontoon for the river, I wanted to mount it to the rail. It's a good design that I only have a couple of gripes and fixes for. The first is that due to the vibration inherent in all boats, the pressure mounting will wear down the paint / finish of your square rails. Secondly, the bolts are a little soft (stainless) and easily get burrs on them from the screwdriver (especially since you are torquing). I have a fix for both. I used an old koozie and just sliced it down the side and removed the bottom. I wrapped it around the rail and then put the mount on. No opportunity for paint to be scratched by the vibration and/or the bolts hitting on the rail. Secondly, I just used a file and some sandpaper to round down the bolt heads after installing. Now I just leave it on year round. Yes it is expensive for what it is, but hey, it's boating and it's Magma.

Bolts on the square tubing easily and feels very sturdy when grill is attached. Highly recommend!

Used this mount on the railing of a French balcony in an apartment. You will need to buy all the essential hardware, including stainless screws, nuts, washer and lock-washers - no big deal. Quality construction, mounts easily. Now our son can use his Magma Kettle by just sliding open his living room door!

An overly expensive item that does not come with any hardware to get install....by the time you buy their grill, mounting bracket, and hardware, you could have purchased another boat...if this item were 20 bucks and no hardware I would be okay with it....but to charge this much for a metal arm and bracket is crazy...

Works fine, just need to waste time getting screws and nuts to hold in place.

It is what it is does not come with mounting hardware so still had to buy stainless bolts and rubber to mount to rail but it does work
