Well, I waited a few months to review this as I've had several die on me in the past after about 3-6 weeks use, soooo... Wow! This actually worked way better than I thought! I've been using it with my GTX1070FE for quite a while now, and unlike some of the other risers I've gotten, this one has not had any issues. No problems with not detecting the card, no lag problems, etc so if you're looking for a mining riser, this is a good one. It's outlasted a few cheaper ones, lol. Just do yourself a favor and throw that SATA power adapter in the garbage as soon as you get it. It's not rated ANYWHERE near strong enough to handle a video card like that, and it WILL melt. It's just a matter of when and what else it'll take with it when it goes. I picked this riser BECAUSE it had a proper 4 pin molex power connector - that's the type that I've found most reliable, and it makes sense electronically as well due to the standards. Not for the faint-hearted! These risers look pretty good but getting them to work properly and consistently is very difficult. I had one that worked well for 12 hours and is now giving me a hard-time and causing my computer to freeze after 15 mins. I have heard horror stories about these style risers even catching on fire so make sure to allow time for testing. I also suggest ordering a bunch to test because some will most likely be DOA.Update: after spending a day testing my setup I figured out that my BIOS needed to be updated! Now both my risers are working flawlessly. One tip I can give is make sure you plug them in 1 2 3 order if not they will not work and you can't run a video card in the 16x slot along with the risers you have to do one or the other but they do work!

Bought 10 just to make sure I had enough working ones and a spare. Didn't need them. First 5 I tried all worked perfectly.I was a little confused with using dual power supplies. The PSU to the MB has to also be the one to the riser. The GPU extra power can come from a separate supply.Borrowed an extra GPU and it is now 6 for 6 working perfectly.

Ordered 6 of these and 5 work great - 1 does not. I would recommend this as long as you make sure to test it right away so you can exchange it if need be.

Nice high power mosfet. Foam backing will come off with use... zipties are your friend from the start.

These are high quality risers.The board on is black, they are marked version 6, and they have a thick foam backing to prevent shorts.

High failure rate. I'm not sure what part of this has failed yet, but I ordered 2 and one unit works just fine - the other boot up the GPU at all.In brief, I tested the power and USB and I'm 90% certain the PCB in some way or another is dead on arrival, the power cable and USB are confirmed good and motherboard port is confirmed good.
