Seems to good quality. Messy to use, so never really used it for what bought them for. Old school just works better.

I had some difficulty getting the mix wet enough to flow, while thick enough to stay in place. But that may just be the nature of using a bag.

I bought this for repointing a stone facade around my fireplace that had cracked motor joints. After mixing the mortar and preparing the joint by vacuuming and spraying with water I still couldn’t get this motor to squeeze into the joint. I cut an extra large hole in the bag as the original hole would not flow if anything it just squeezed out the water in the mix and left the sand. Not sure if there is an additive that can be added to the mortar to make it flow but I had to give up after making a huge mess ended up putting on gloves and filling the vertical joints by hand which was easier than using the pointing trowel and tuck pointer. My fireplace looks great I just wish this product would have saved the day but it fell short for me.

This bag cleans easily with water, holds a lot of Morter, I can only handle 4-5 small hand held spade shovel full's at a time; it becomes too heavy with any more... Morter / Cement pushes out easily. It comes with 3 bags which I had my son help and he used 1; other wise I only needed one bag and it is still going strong.. I have a Hundred Foot/30 Meter rock wall to complete and still only using one bag. I work on the wall when I can, I do clean up after every 4 gallons of Morter in a 5 gallon bucket i use to mix. I do not use the TIPs that come with the bags... I Cut the end off of the bag for the morter to come out easier... see pictures.

Even if you make the mortar kind of runny it still gets stuck in the bag. The only thing I used in this kit was the mortar shaping tool. Was trying to put mortar between cap blocks on top of a retainer wall. Had to just force it in cracks manually and then use tool to shape it.

Quality has gone downhill, price went up Use to last months , seams are not sewn or strong as they use to be That bust at the seam rather quickly Too bad these were great bags, we go through about 50-60 per year now rather than 15-25 because of the decrease in quality Tips last forever though
