Long-time user of Champion Juicer - WUT WAIT READ THIS
**UPDATE**Below the dotted line is my original review after my first use with the 4000. I regret changing this to a one star review but I'm doing it. PLASTAKET MFG. CO., INC. is an awesome company that makes the best juicers in the world right here in the good ol' USA. Recommend buying the original Champion model which has lasted me over 25 years and still works like a champ.Unfortunately I'm returning this 4000 model and will be buying the original design. I can not figure out why such an awesome company would release such a dysfunctional design.4 pictures attached: 1-2 show how this new grinder and the newly designed screen couldn't even juice half of a single pineapple. Sure there's green pulp there from this weak design trying to extract green juice, but this design is worse than a failure it's a disaster, in my opinion.Pictures 3-4 show my original Champion, purchased in 1989, which still works like a champ but I thought I'd treat myself to a new machine instead of buying a new grinder for this old one. The only thing wrong with this old one is the grinder is a bit dull and the feed surround has a crack. That's it. Other than that it's still perfect and still works great. This new model, the 4000, is like going from top of the line awesome juicer to hitting yourself with a hammer and having to rake an acre of leaves when all you wanted was some juice. Lame design. Why would they even release this junk to the public? Again, Recommend buying the original Champion model which has lasted me over 25 years and still works like a champ.-------------------------------------------------------------Made in USA CHAMPION gets 5 stars because the Champion Juicer I bought almost 30 years ago is still working like a champ. It was used HEAVILY off an on over those 3 decades and the only part that recently cracked was the little funnel part at the top of the feed. I thought the cutter blade was probably dull too, so I decided to just buy a new one.I give this 5 stars because it's CHAMPION by Plastaket Manufacturing makers of the BEST Juicers available. I like this one, but I think if I had to make the choice again I'd buy their commercial heavy duty juicer instead of this one, the 4000.Here's what I've noticed so far: The 4000 comes with that little piece that slides over the end which prevents the pulp from being spit out and flung all over the counter - that part's great. But I expected the green juicer to be superior to the regular cutter blade in the original juicer. I haven't found that to be the case. I'd say it's a toss up between the original old design and the new one. Seems like the same amount of juice from greens and I still have to run the pulp through twice to get the most juice. I'm not even sure the greens juicer is in any way superior to the original grind/cutter design at all, even in actual feeding and grinding the greens. Also, the 4000 has more parts to clean and I'm thus far unconvinced of it's superiority over the original design. The new tamper seems weak as well.Final word: This company makes the BEST juicers in the world. As a long time HUGE fan of Champion I'd say the original design Champion is better than this one and if I had the chance to do this purchase over I'd recommend the commercial heavy duty juicer version by the same company.More: You can't go wrong with a Champion and ultimately, this 4000 looks great, sits nicely on the counter, works well enough, has a few more parts to clean after using but it's a Champion so you won't be disappointed.

After 1 month of light usage the unit devolved a large Crack on its body, after talking to Champion about this the person stated that this was a known issue and to send it back for replacement. May problem is if this is a known issue then why was it sent out to me.Other than the Crack the unit operates as designed and marketed

Leaves 45% of juice in Pulp. Not worth it!
Had to return this. It left the pulp way too wet with way too much juice being discarded. When I pressed the discarded pulp to see how much juice was still in it, there was about 45% of juice still in it. The only way this juicer would be effective is if you had a separate juice presser to get the remaining juice out of the pulp.

Juicing
The Champion juicer is a workhorse. As far as I'm concerned, this is the best.
