These work like the others I've bought where the middle strainer doesn't keep all the grinds under it, that's why it gets 4 stars. I've learned to live with it because you get 2 for the price of one when they all work the same.

Makes a perfect cup
I love dark coffee and use this just to brew a coffee mug full. I'd get this in 16 oz if I could. The screw down design works well and the volume is great so I can get a whole mug in just one pour, perhaps 1 1/2 pours for a larger cup. Zero waste filter!
