I was surprised that for its mini size was very well. We use on our boat and RV for camping. Very good for chicken, hamburgers, pork chops and lean steaks. If you put a ribeye steak, keep the fire hose handy. In general works very well for low fat cooking. I had an older Magma and could never get much heat, this thing works well in that dept. Low is low...and high is high...dont walk away. I was generally quite surprised at this little unit. I purchase on sale in the $160 range. Out of the box the igniter would not work, I just adjusted a bit closer to the flame and all is fine. I would buy again.
