Nice set of adapters for new smartphones (not larger devices) that need USB Type C
Just got some phones (such as Nexus 5X) that needed USB Type C cables. I didn't want to throw away my good micro-USB cables. Since these adapters were at a discount with the promise of giving an unbiased review, I decided to buy them to see if they work.Pros:- connects to existing micro-USB male connectors fine- power charging is passed through well (my 2.0A current was pushed through the adapter with no issues)- data passed through as well (at USB 2.0 speed)- comes with two, good for one at home and one on the go.Cons:- might not fit USB Type C specs... so I would not recommend to use this for larger devices that need higher voltage (such as Chromebook Pixel)These work great on my tests with the Nexus 5X, but testing the voltage and current, it might not be up to USB 3.1 Type C specifications, so beware for using with larger and more powerful devices.
