I love this light and so does my fish. I was contemplating getting rid of my tank after the last fish dies because the original led bulb had about 3 LED’s left and a Love Fish replacement was well over £60. Well this was under £20 and in my opinion is better than the original. 9 brightness settings and 3 timer options. It’s given my tank and living room a new lease of life.

This light is great the brightness and the ability to change this to lower and blue is great for my tank, it holds well, I loved the idea of a timer for this on the actual lead from it this allows you to set 6 10 or 12 hours and it will turn off the light then come back on at the same time , now i did manage this had it set it went off at 9pm ideal, but a few days later it didn't so i tried to remember how I set it and looked at instructions again and just cannot get it sussed, the light is great the timer is frustrating as!

Very good product but, yea now I see the tank needs a clean lol.. using 18cm ver ( more like 18.5cm) for a 24L tank, would of liked to use the next size up now but the 37cm would of not fitted in the tank. As for brightness I'm happy with using both blue and white on full but I'm sure to change that in the next few days ( after the water change ). The suction cups are great just make sure the glass has been cleaned inside the tank if you have issues, not much to say about the inline controller - w or b press each time for different levels of light from low to high 9 levels of light brightness with each colour... Timer useful to as it saves the use of a timer sockets. (Know where I'm goings if I get a bigger tank )Many thanks

This is a really nice little light. I've got an 18 litre tank that had to be moved from my kids room to the living room and it was in a slightly darker spot. The original led light on the tank just wasn't bright enough and I was worried about the plants not able to flourish. This arrived quickly and I got straight onto fitting it. It is stuck using the suction cups onto the plastic lid and is on solid. I didn't really want to chance it in the water but most reviews say its fine. It is really bright, and the best setting for me is the white and blue lights on together, it makes everything look sharp, clear and vibrant. It wasn't too expensive, so even if it packs up in 6 months, I'll chance another one. I bought the 18 cm for a 18 litre and it's perfect.

We are really happy with the light for our small tropical fish tank 19ltrs. The brightness of the lights are adjustable and offer a great look, the suction is great, fixed once and it hasn't moved in a few months. The timer is a little tricky to set up and could do with lasting more than 12 hours, but for the price I'm not complaining. Great product.

I had an aquarium with lighting built into the (non-detachable) hood. When the tube failed, replacement involved removing 6 tiny screws from the plastic cover; the branded replacement light tubes were very expensive, and they didn't last very long. After 10 years of this, I completely removed the light from the lid, leaving the metal back plate intact, and fitted this Varmhus lamp in its place.It has made an amazing difference to my aquarium in so many ways.1. The lamp covers the whole length of the hood, so the entire tank is lit, not just the middle two thirds.2. The many variations of brightness means that the tank can be more softly illuminated.3. Combining the white and blue lights means I am able to select a mix which enhances the colours of my fish, plants, rocks and gravel perfectly.4. The original light used to generate a lot of heat; the Varmhus is completely cool.5. The hood of the aquarium now weighs next to nothing.I did have to superglue the suction caps to the metal plate, but that was only because where they needed to go there were holes where the old fitting was attached, meaning they wouldn't stick on.In conclusion, I would highly recommend this product.

Haven't had it installed for long but so far it's doing a great job in our 30L, I love the blue light for night and the ability to dim the light (the brightess setting is a bit too bright for my small tank but I bet even with the 18cm light in a large tank would still be bright enough to see the full scope of the tank). Wish I could add the photos I took showing the different settings, it's a great product so far!

I was a bit reluctant to try this but am setting up a small tank and didn't have room where I wanted it for a traditional over tank light. This turned out to be nothing short of brilliant! Suction is strong, it stays where you out it, lighting controls are responsive and its very bright with several settings, including blue light for evening/night if needed...
