Lightweight, battery operated, ideal for smaller gardens.
Ideal for a smallish garden, the larger Stiga ones are serious and heavy machines, this one replaced my Bosch strimmer that i spent more time rewinding the cord than doing the lawn!!

Strimmer rather than true brush cutter, but a very good example
1st I've seen a line fed, cordless strimmer, rather than those little clip on blades. That's a definite leg up over anything else I've seen, but at over the £100 mark, you've a right to expect a little more.Easy enough to use, the battery likely adds a little weight over using a mains version, but you don't have the hassle of a cord trailing behind you, a slight trade off in that respect. It runs on 20V, but there's only the one 2.0Ah battery, it keeps the weight down Vs a 4.0Ah battery, but 2 small batteries would be ideal. As it stands, this will give you up to around 20mins run time (their figure, not mine, I've not timed it), but enough to keep a medium sized garden in check. It's also a proper battery charging dock, instead of those silly clip on chargers.Definitely worth considering.

Lightweight for a battery powered strimmer
The media could not be loaded. You are going to need 2 people to put it together as you need someone to hold it steady while putting the screws in. The rest of the assembly is easy. The battery was partially charged when I got it but I still charged it to full capacity. What I liked about it was the fact it was pretty lightweight compared to other ones I used and the battery was still going strong after strimming and edging my lawn. For a lager area it would probably be best to invest in a second battery. Overall happy with the performance of it.

Well balance, quiet, no spare spool, grass cutting not brush cutter
This is an automatic feed, single line strimmer. Amazon decribe it as a brush cutter, but it's for grass and weeds; as an example, it won't cut snowberry. The handle length is easy to adjust with an over centre catch and, the lower handle is also simple to adjust. The 25cm cut width is useful for horizontal strimming and, there's a flip-down wire guard to make it easier to cut around shrubs and along a fence line. For edging, the head turns easily to vertical. It's well balanced with the battery in place, easy to work with and, quieter than the STIHL commercial battery operated tools that I use in a nature reserve. It appears to be built well enough for domestic use, and the cutting shield looks sufficiently thick and rigid to stop stones. I guess that the Italian text says the maximum line diameter is 1.6mm. Cut grass is easier than usual to remove from the cutting head, shield and motor housing. Given the price, I would have expected a spare line spool. As the battery lasts up to 20 minutes, a spare battery would have been useful too, but it charged fairly quickly with the included charger.I cut a roadside verge with it; damp grass and weeds up to 25cm high without stalling or slowing too much. I'm use to using STIHL equipment with a battery backpack weighing 5kg, so it was a nice change. It's fine as a grass and weed cutter - I haven't tried it on tough tussocks - but forget mature bramble, snowberry, and growth with woody stems.

A quality strimmer that performs well with no fuss or bother...
The “Cordless Brushcutter: Model GT 100e” from “Stiga” is a handy cordless strimmer for strimming down grass, weeds and foliage of that nature.Obviously, the brand “Stiga” isn’t exactly a well-known brand. This isn’t necessarily an indication that the product will be anyway inferior to say a more well know strimmer manufacturer. In fact, having used the strimmer now on a number of occasions, I would say it’s possibly one of the better strimmers that I’ve come across.Get familiarised with the strimmer is pretty quick and simple. There’s really not a huge amount to it. There’s a few key adjustments you can make to the positioning of the handle and the cutting head. These are really handy for being able to use the strimmer on different areas and to keep edges of lawn neat and tidy. The strimmer uses one 1.6mm single nylon cord which is quick and simple to input. You get one spool of the strimmer cord. This 1.6mm cord is in my experience the thinnest strimmer cord used, and therefore isn’t necessarily the most robust cord. You may therefore find that it needs replacing relatively regularly. When using the strimmer, I found it incredibly easy to position as required to ensure a neat and effortless cutting back of lawn edges and bits of light foliage. The strimmer is also very lightweight, which makes it easy to carry and use without getting aching arms. The strimmer is cordless, so you’ll need to charge the battery before each use. The strimmer last for around 20minutes of continuous use, which isn’t bad at all. Furthermore, charging the battery (which just clicks off the strimmer) is very swift.I found that keeping my lawn edges and other garden areas was quick and efficient with no need to keep redoing spots. The strimmer performed well and was very simple to use throughout. The overall quality of the manufacture is also pretty good. The injection moulded hard plastic shells on the head and handle of the strimmer feel robust and hard-wearing. The aluminium stem is again solid and unlikely to sustain damage easily. All in all I’ve been very impressed with the overall quality and performance of the strimmer. Recommended!

Lightweight use
This is definately for light use and nothing hardy … so weeds and grass etc. The head is a single line and the battery lasts a good 15-20 mins. It’s super lightweight and easy to assemble and use. It’s fine around the garden for a touch up here and there but nothing else more serious.
