KTM Quick Release Tank Bag - 60412919000

Perfect fit on a KTM 1290 SA, standard handle bars, RAM mount on left bar. "Some assembly required":)Like a Givi Tanklock, but you build the attachment yourself it yourself. I actually thought the instructions were very good, but they could have saved the cost of the drill bit(actually seems like a quality bit) and drilling template, if they had assembled it.I tried the Givi XS307 and XS308, but both interfered with the handle bars at full lock. This KTM bag is relatively rigid and has a volcano shape. Things must fit in the top "hole". It expands, like a magicians top hat. Releases with a pull cord/wire at front of bag.

Fairly easy install. Have to drill three holes to make it work. Don't understand why they didn't come predrilled, but not hard to do. They supply a template. Easy on and off the tank using a release strap. Large center compartment, but no inside pockets or seperators, just big open area. No way to separate your stuff. Two outside zipper compartents that have very little space. Can fit a cell phone or wallet. Nothing bigger. Quality bag that needs a little more engineering. For the price, it could have been better designed.

The bag itself is great. I used it on my cross country trip back in the fall and it worked great. The installation process is insane. You have to drill 4 holes into the bag in order to fit the base plate. There's a good chance you're going to tear part of the liner doing it no matter how careful you are. I really like this bag. It looks great on my 1290SA. I would however, like to slap the instructions author around a bit.....Actually KTM should have this assembled. You need to be a leprechaun to get this thing together. I would have gone to Hobby Lobby if I were looking for a puzzle....
