I recommend learning how to use both your arms and legs in a coordinated manner by using basic beginning drummer books before doing this book. However, once you are ready, this book really helps. It opens your mind as to play different drums (low tom, high tom, snare, high hat, bass, etc.) in drum solo patterns.

a must have for any drummer enthusiast, it is great to add to the repertoire for those long songs at church to keep things fresh
