I love the way this is made, the materials and the size of the backpack. I gave four stars instead of five because this was supposed to be a medium size, but I've adjusted it all the way down and it is still too large for my 55 lb dog. I love the construction of it, though, so have made the straps shorter to fit my dog properly. I used my sewing machine but would not advise using hand sewing to adjust it, as it might not be strong enough.She is a mixed breed dog that is highly driven to have a job and this backpack is helping with that. She gets very calm and professional when she has the backpack on and I keep a container of treats in one of the pockets so she is happy to have the pack put on.The handle on the midback region is very sturdy and I'm training my dog to help me get up, walk around the house, etc. because I have arthritic knees and some days a little extra support comes in handy.The pockets are a really nice size - more than plenty of room for a 1-liter water bottle plus other items. I plan on purchasing a collapsible water dish so she can carry her own refreshments.

The fit measurements for this are waaaaaaaay off!Here are the measurements given: Length: 12.5+in Neck: 10-14 in Girth: 21-27 inHere are my dog's measurements: Length: 18" (shoulder to butt), Neck 12", Girth: 23"Though she should have fit the measurements perfectly, this was several inches too big for my dog. The belly strap hung down about 6" when it was closed at the tightest setting, and the chest strap hung down about 3" under the same circumstances. I was very disappointed that the measurements were so far off that I couldn't even try this out. I returned it and received a refund, which was the right thing to do on the company's part. I said in my return that the measurements were off and that was a couple months ago and the issue still hasn't been corrected.

I love it, but it is starting to fray at the seems after a year. To be expected, you get what you pay for.Also, know your dogs size for real don’t guess. I thought my hound was 200lbs so I ordered the the XL I think. Turns out he’s 94lbs and the XL cannot be clipped in the back as it would rub his downtown area (lol) so I just have the armpits clipped up front.Sizing is pretty important with this item.

This bag was way to big for my 65Ib lab I had to cut the straps down to sizes but that still was not enough. I bought this for my service dog so she could carry my medications but unfortunately it's not wearable for her (very loss). I like the fact that it is reflective for night trivel and the pockets are spacious and zip. It's a shame it didn't fit right.

Much too big for my 70 pound dog, this fits more like a large. I need a small for my dog.

The size is great for my bull mastiff/pit bull mix with his broad shoulders. Stretches and moves with his high energy! The green is nice and bright and I like that this has reflective stripping. The side pockets are perfect for water bottles and such, but not too bulky.
