Corsair Vengeance Performance Memory Kit 16GB ddr4 2666MHz CL18 Unbuffered SODIMM (CMSX16GX4M2A2666C18)

I bought these several years ago, and they're still working great and performing like new several years after purchase, and long after the stock RAM sticks that came with my laptop died. Corsair is a smart buy, and a monolith in the RAM market. They've been in the RAM game for a bit and they know what they're doing. Buy some Corsair RAM, but, for the sake of avoiding a bad experience if you don't know what you're doing or looking at when you buy computer RAM, ask some computer geek people to look at what exactly you need, because if you get the wrong clock speed, and mix it with other RAM of different clock speeds, different latencies, and other bits of techno-babbley stuff, you might not have the best experience, so, there's more than the GB number you need to know. You'll need to know what generation of RAM works best for your computer DDR4? DDR5? DDR ... what?, what form-factor your computer needs (SO-DIMM in my case for laptop), what clock speed your computer works best and is compatible with (if you get a high clock speed that your computer doesn't support, then it probably won't work, and if you get a really low clock speed, you could make your computer even slower), ... and then there's a latency group of numbers, but, this isn't as important unless you're squeezing for maximum performance and if so, then you'll want to be picky. Anyway, that's enough of my babble. Buy Corsair RAM. Their in the top of RAM pick choices, and I expect they always will be.

I bought these to replace my old DDR4 Ram on my laptop which started having issues where it will keep making my windows to restart and recycling through the same motion and I was getting stop clock error by windows, so once figured out the exact problem ordered these and replaced with old ones and my laptop is back to life. These are compatible with my system as specified and build seemed durable. Once put it on, my windows boot time was spot on and no performance issues what so ever with anything I through at it and my windows is working great with memory management so this is really great. For anyone who wants to replace there DDR4 memory Ram slots this is an excellent choice for replacement.

My 2019 G7 7790 came with 16GB, which is fine for most games out there, however I found I was really stressing the system when I would stream to Twitch or do video capture/editing/etc. More RAM is, I think, the most cost-effective way to goose performance in situations like these. I did shop around quite a bit before settling on the Corsair Vengeance sticks - normally I'd gravitate toward Ballistix *but* given the specs of the G7 and its niche as a mid-tier gaming laptop, I didn't see the need to go crazy (I generally want to stream games and do game capture, not have a workstation-class laptop....). Helping inform my decision is that I wasn't going to work too much (meaning: not at all) in overclocking the RAM here. The G7 BIOS isn't very welcoming for things like that anyway, so having a good plug-and-play performance memory stick took precedence. The Vengeance here popped up, it was $10 off, so decision made. Memory works perfectly. The G7s can be a little finicky about memory, especially performance memory (and the line doesn't play very well with XMP) so another point in favor of the Vengeance and away from Ballistix (Ballistix uses XMP and it may cause some headaches with the G7, at least in my opinion). Latency here is somewhat lower than (but still materially comparable to) the factory-installed memory (Factory is 19-19-19-43, the Vengeance in my G7 is 18-19-19-39). NO BIOS SETUP NEEDED - things automatically reconfigured upon boot up and after very little effort (mainly using Alienware Command Center and various other performance monitors) I was satisfied that I had 32GB of stable performance-oriented memory at 2,666 MHz. I am also very happy to know that Corsair tests these memory sticks in pairs and then sells them as tested pairs, not individually. That's kind of a big thing. The proof is in the pudding - streaming Shadow of the Tomb Raider at high video settings as well as doing capture of same went flawlessly. At the end of the day, for a rather reasonable price (really, 32GB of RAM seems like it should cost more than it does) I doubled the raw amount of factory-installed memory with (imo) a better brand that is more than up for the tasks I'm using it for. A very good product and one that I'm really rather ecstatic about.

My older gaming laptop needed a serious upgrade. It's about 5 years old, and I had been trying to play Baldur's Gate 3 with just 8GB of Crucial RAM this year. But it wasn't cutting it anymore for me. My processor is an Intel i7-8750H--its max frequency for DDR4 RAM is 2666mHz--so these babies were a perfectly compatible fit! If you're like me and unable to overclock your rig to utilize higher frequencies because of the outdated BIOS/abilities of your machine...these will truly change your entire gaming experience without needing to do any of that nerd sorcery. No more squeezing blood from hot metal... ...And let me tell you, dreams really do come true! I have an older GPU (NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 with Max-Q), so I was praying to the GODS that I would be able to pry some kind of extra performance out of it at its ripe old age. And these RAM sticks!??-- they have far exceeded my wildest expectations! My rig is blazing fast now; and I was even able to crank my game quality settings up and lovingly bask in the glow of high framerates and eye-popping details that I could have never experienced if I didn't pick these up. I am now meeting the true potential of my elderly rig that I didn't know was possible. So PLEASE don't skip on these, they WILL breathe life back into your older gaming machine. And don't forget to grab your good cooling pad, you are going to be playing for hours when you see what Corsair Vengeance RAM is able to do for you!

Nice feels like my computer is very light . improves my computer performance.

the ram itself is great, my computer is running so much better with the added memory. however when installing, there is no way to differentiate which way to have the card. there is identical stickers on either side, there was no instructions to whether these should be taken off, I couldnt tell which side was which. luckily I got it first try, thanks to the help guide from apple
