RATS is great, but the sleeve makes it AWESOME!
Outstanding products. I was already a fan of the RATS, but the sleeve really makes a great system. I have carried RATS in my pocket or bag, either in the original packing or stripped out and rubber banded. Both of these are imperfect. Coiled in the original wrapper is bulky and doesn't fit most pockets, while unwrapped and rubber banded is bulky, rubber bands break and the clasp pokes me. The sleeve is a tight compression sleeve (it might take an extra set of hands to get it loaded), that keeps it together, stays slim, cushions the cleat, and doesn't break. AWESOME! On days when I don't carry a full pocket trauma kit on me, this is my buddy. slips into a front or back pocket and I forget that it is there. I recommend this to all of my friends, I own several, and will buy more.

You have to have but hope to never have to use.
I'm in construction and have seen a lot of blood on job sites so decided to add this to my first aid kit.Seems well made and should do what it is supposed to in a simple small package.Easy to use.Hope I never have to use it but if I need it I'll have it.

Good product, real-world application
I've actually had the great misfortune of having to use a tourniquet on a friend/coworker with a severed femoral artery. Reverted to Boy Scout training and used two triangular bandages - he survived, barely (after draining two regional trauma centers of all the blood they had on hand), and I've carried a purpose built tourniquet ever since. This seems like a better design than the others I've tried, and is smaller and lighter to boot. Having "been there and done that" I'm confident that this one would do the trick, even in a case like my experience with a very high femoral bleed.

5 Star Tourniquet, 2 Star sleeve.
I hope I never have to use it. I am not law enforcement or other first responder. I am just an average guy, that wants to be prepared. I have watched a lot of videos and spoken to others than carry or have used this. It is a great product, easy to use, eapecially one-handed on yourself. The tourniquet deserves 5 stars. I took of one star because the carry sleeve is too small and hard to use. The sleeve is great for making the tourniquet compact and easy to organise in a pouch or something. But it doesn't really make carrying by itself much easier.

Life Saver
Important to be in every IFAK (individual First Aid Kit). Easy to apply to oneself and small enough to carry on person. A definite lifesaver if confronted with uncontrolled limb trauma and bleeding on self, or others.

Easy one hand application
I now carry this on duty every night. I recommend practicing single handed applications with both hands on each limb. Faster and easier application than a CAT tourniquet and you don't have to worry about breaking the windlass.

It's small and lightweight, but I think it is ...
It's small and lightweight, but I think it is too short for an average male (or fat female's) leg. I can hardly get 2 wraps around my leg. If they would make it 6-10 in longer I think it would make a big difference.

This is NOT the Gen 2 RATS TQ
I am big fan of the RATS Tourniquet and carry one in my car, my range bag, my book bag at church (along with an IFAK) and often in a cargo pocket as well. I was under the impression that I was buying a Gen 2 RATS which is a bit longer for people with larger limbs. Still happy to have it with the belt sleeve holder, so I am happy with the purchase, but be aware that this is the Gen 1 RATS, not the Gen 2. Strongly recommend this tourniquet to everyone in my CCW Classes and Basic Pistol Classes. Very affordable and great for children with small limbs. Heavily used and tested in Afghanistan by the locals there, even on their dogs! Truly a critical piece of kit.

WILDERNESS SURVIVAL CARD.
A Handy item , very light weight , BUT DO NOT CARRY IT IN YOUR POCKET AS YOU RECIEVE IT. You need to find a CARD COVER / SLEEVE , It does not come with any sort of sleeve / cover , and you could find the small parts could break off in your pocket and cut your leg . Pity the supplier did not think to put it in a card cover. Poor Presentation.
