Maybe it's not best of the quality on the market but for the price it's well made and it's more secure than the original one I had as the design is very sturdy. Fits perfect into my sink. Very happy.

We'd put up with an old one of these for years where the seal wasn't quite up to the task. Every know and then you'd load up the sink full of washing up and nice fresh soapy water to turn your back for 5 minutes only to find that the sink had completely drained because the plug hadn't sealed correctly.All you need to do it measure your existing plumbing or plug hole and make sure you purchase the correct size replacement and voila, no more leaking plug.Why did I hold off in replacing for so long when a replacement is so cheap. Highly recommended.

Its a plug

It is sturdy and it works but has some problems. The shaft is short and quite often the plug comes out too far and the rubber washer often comes away from the plug when pulled upwards.

I spent over £17 on a bona-fide replacement stamped with Franke/Lira with the correct part No: pre 2008 from a plumbers merchants...but it didn't fit.... the gasket or rubber washer part didn't look wide or thick enough as the old strainer plug had (even though it was perished a bit) to seal properly.Noticed this one, thought I'd give it ago at this price why not, well I opened the tiny box item was so dinky a few seconds later it was ready to try...and low & behold with a click into place and tap running it held the water in the sink yea!!It goes further into the plug hole than the original did but who cares it works!!! and seems to work more smoothly with a light touch,hopefully it collects waste as good as the original did....All in all am very pleased with this item.

came very quickly the only positive. you have to assemble the plug and i ended up with a nasty slice on my finger its very thin and very sharp. tried assembling rubber seal various ways fit snugglu in sink soon as water was put in it drained away. I now have plasters on two fingers threw in the bin

Easy to assemble and a perfect fit for our sink.Very good value at this price and we wonder why we didn't replace our old plug earlier.

Fits my plug hole fine, but doesn't actually appear to stop the water. I've tried flipping the rubber seal to see if it works better another way but still just drains straight out no matter how it sits. Not sure how mine differs from all the other reviews as I'd seen this be a problem on other products so specifically sought out one that didn't have this problem in the reviews but I guess it didn't work.
