I just simply love products that make cooking in my kitchen or on my grill easier to accomplish. As a mom of 4 boys, it can get a little hectic trying to cook. That's why I was delighted to have gotten these just before my family cookout. My Mother, who cooks large meals as well, is also benefiting from this set. I gave her the green tong/brush set as she HAD to have them after she witnessed my youngest son (3yr old)grabbing & taking off with a visitors cell phone. I had a new York strip in between my red tongs-7inch (smallest of set:see photo)getting ready to put it on the meat block. I didn't think, I just reacted. I chased that boy down the side walk, around the house, to the back porch, running the entire time gripping the steak between the tongs. Can you believe the steak remained in place n didn't suffer much from the tongs?! It just appeared stretched out a little bit. Anyhow that's the best experience I've had with the set.The tongs are silicone tipped with strips of silicone going down the metal handles...for a better grip or for temp control. The smallest red set can grip A LOT-see photo of the red ones holding up a giant squash fron my garden. They have a loop on the ends so they can easily be hung up. They also have a locking mechanism which is great for storage in a drawer or a utensil jar, which is what I use. The set had 3 different sizes of tongs for different situations. Longest being orange/12 inches, middle size is green/10 inches(now my mother has), & the smallest is red/7 inches(the set I used for the phone chase). The 2 soft bristled baste brushes I received were red & green. I threw my old one away- the ones that look like a giant paintbrush with hair bristles. These really do work just as good & not half as hard to clean. You can put both the tongs & brushes in the dishwasher. I've washed mine that way several times & they look brand new. I've even used the red set for arts & crafts when needing to position things for pasting. The red set has became my new handy tool for multiple things. I HIGHLY recommend these to anyone who is still using plastic or metal. Those can scratch up non stick pans where as these won't. I'm fully satisfied with my purchase & I paid full price for the set. Lol, my mom is very satisfied with her free sweet compliments of me, her loving & sympathetic daughter :o) I hope the rest of you who get this set are just as satisfied with your experience! I have foundd these tongs to be well made. I really like the fact that there are 3 sizes. I had the larger one already, but my daughter wanted it so I gave it to her and ordered these. They are so handy to have in the kitchen! The little silicone brushes are nice too. I would buy these again if I needed another set! I have been given a discount to review this product, but this is my honest opinion of the product.
