Kind of frustrating but still good
I wanted to throw the book away when I was halfway through, I couldn't comprehend why Vervain was so reckless, why she was always alone so she could make it easier for her enemies to attack, why was she beaten so easily by her enemies numerous times (she didn't even turn into a Lioness when fighting the horse shifter) and finally why her men and the people that is supposed to protect her suck so much on their job. I was thinking in ditching the series for good but then the the final act of the book started and everything was awesome again. The author did it again she made Vervain and the readers suffer so the ending was so much more satisfying, I'm glad I kept reading and I will continue to do so I just hope she doesn't put Vervain to such an extreme suffering and manipulation in the future. Ok I'm rambling see you in the next book review.

creepy, funny and wonderful
I am unabashed fan of the Godhunter series. The Tainted Web brings into a third and fourth realm, beyond Faerie and the God Realm. We enter the Inter Realm and the realm of the Internet.Evil has entered the world again, through the Internet. All of those identity thieves and evil bill collectors who track you down via the web (I used to be one, imagine my horror) are all working for an evil, truly evil God who thrives on the torture we all suffer from them! What's worse, this God uses the Web like a spider. In fact, he takes the form of a spider, my worst nightmare! His venom infects the digital world.Vervain must defeat him, if she can survive his mental torture, or the whole world will suffer.Sumida and her wonderful heroine show us how connected and dependent we have become on the internet while sharing Native American legends with us. My only complaint is that Old Man Coyote has never been truly evil, just a little bit of a trickster. But who am I to complain on that when I am in love with Kirill!I am a devotee of all things urban fantasy, gobbling up the newest stories with an unmatched ferocity. I've met all the big stars in my imaginations - Anita, Sabine, Rachel, Merry - all of them. But Vervain, her Gods and her men, they breathe in a way that I am unable to describe! Vervain is strong, compassionate and loving, a trinity of true human magic. She is willing to accept her own faults and love others because of their faults not in spite of them. The struggles and horrors she faces are so richly described, so realistic, I had a case of the shivers when I closed the book for the night. But she faces them with courage. When presented with a new type of creature, one that couldn't have existed prior to the advent of the Web, she welcomes him.All in all the scariest of the 8 books I've read of the series. Creepy crawlies abound! Highly recommended, even for arachnaphobes like myself! 6 out of 5 if that we possible! Enter Vervain's world!

The Tainted Web, 7 of series
And the craziness continues with this great addition to the Godhunter series. I loved the creativity in a spider god infecting the web (internet). Very cool plot and I especially enjoyed the imps! Some very interesting plot twists-- I'm excited to see what the next books bring!

Tainted Web
Book seven in the Godhunter series. Vervain is back with the God Squad, the Fey, her lion and wolf families. You get an evil Web god that turns into a spider, a water fey queen and kelpie all trying to kill her. Thank goodness she isn't so easy to kill. I like how this book brings her an inner peace. Can't wait to read the next book.

Read this!!!
Probably my favorite book. Yes Vervain gets herself into trouble a lot, but you have to admit it's always fun to see her get out of it. This one had me worried. I love Torrent and what he becomes with Vervain and friends help. If you've read the rest just read this and if you have read anything read this then get the rest cause you'll wanna read em too
