Perfect for seborrheic dermatitis.
I love this soap. I use it once, every day. I suffer from seborrheic dermatitis and this keeps it away!

highly recommended
well made zinc soap - recommended by dermatologists for skin conditions that can improve with zinc. I've used it for years. And it burns the eyes much much less than 2% zinc shampoos which is another advantage

Very effective for body acne, great price
Recently began using Curology and the first step is to send photos of your skin for review by a dermatologist and I have moderately severe acne on my back, chest and upper arms. The dermatologist diagnosed them as seborrheic dermatitis and recommended either the Noble Formula 2% pyrithione zinc bar ($12.99/bar) or the Vanicream Z-Bar ($10.99/bar), she instructed me to use it while showering and to let it sit for a few minutes before rinsing. Pyrithione zinc is an antifungal commonly used for dandruff and can be found in some dandruff shampoos though most shampoos contain dyes and scent/perfumes that are too harsh for topical use on skin, at least for me. I was a little annoyed by the price of those bars so I did a little digging and found this brand instead. Buying a 3 pack of bars at $20.19 means I paid about $7.50 per bar including tax and the ingredients are basically the same as the other two with the active ingredient of 2% pyrithione zinc being the most important ingredient. The bar is a good size, is not disintegrating quickly as some other natural soaps do, it is imperative that you put it someplace away from water to let it dry after each use and is completely unscented which is extremely important to me since I have sensitive skin. It also contains only natural ingredients, is sulfate-free and while it is drying, that is what it's meant to do. I've only been using it for 1 week and the acne on my back, chest and upper arms has significantly improved! I'm also using a glycolic acid spray by The Ordinary and a Salicylic Acid spray from Ulta though I had been using them for months prior to this bar without improvement. I highly recommend this soap and hope this review helps someone else out there suffering from dreaded body acne.

Somewhat effective, but a great soap anyway.
I have rather severe tinea versicolor, and the active ingredient in this soap is zinc pyrithione, which is supposed to lessen the symptoms. After going through one bar, I noticed no changes. However, this is due to the fact that it's a soap, and not designed to be left on the skin for the periods of time I'd need it to be there in order to lessen the symptoms. I wound up using a different product that greatly lessened the symptoms. So why am I rating this soap so high? Because it works for me as a "maintenance" soap, keeping the tinea at bay now that the symptoms are not so severe. Also, I'd buy this soap even if it didn't have zinc pyrithione: it lathers very well and has a pleasing yet subtle scent that isn't overpowering in the slightest. While I was hoping for a soap that would simply do the trick on its own, I recommend it for the reasons above. It's great as maintenance, and great as a soap in its own right.

It's like a magic eraser for severe acne, allergic reactions & rashes
This is a great replacement for ZNP Bar, which has been discontinued. I have sensitive skin that does not like change: I tried a new foundation recently that had added fragrance and got the worst acne of my life as a result. My cheeks were red, puffy, and suddenly had postules. I had several raised bumps and it even started to hurt. As a last-ditch effort before seeking the help of a dermatologist, I ordered this soap and after just two days of washing, I saw immediate results. Update: It's been two months now. With regular use, my skin is completely back to normal and it looks as though the allergic flare-up never happened. This soap saved me the hassle of a doctor's appointment, and I got my skin (and self-esteem) back! Some tips: -I highly recommended using a wooden/bamboo soap dish with slats to store this soap -- it will melt quickly in a traditional soap dish or if it sits in water. -As your skin is healing when using this soap, it may start to feel dry and you'll feel the need to exfoliate. Don't use a scrub or extra product to exfoliate -- just gently rub your face with your hands or a washcloth in the shower to get the dead skin off.

Not up to the ZNP Bar standard...
I bought this based on the Amazon reviews for this brand being the highest. It's OK, but does not work as well for me as the ZNP bar did. Since both brands supposedly have the same 2% zinc active ingredient, there is something missing in this bar that ZNP had. The ZNP bar also seemed to have a very mild abrasive in it to dislodge flakes that this bar doesn't have; this bar is silky smooth and doesn't lather much. On the plus side, the ZNP bar would build up a film on hair when used on the scalp; this product doesn't seem to have that problem. If you're not having success with 2% zinc products, try a 1% ketoconazole product like Nizoral; it's a five star performer for my condition.

Cleared up my red, flaking skin
For two years (yes, two) I had one rogue eyebrow that would get red and itchy, and flake and peel horribly. I covered half my face with my hair because no matter what I did it would remain disgusting. I threw head and shoulders on it (no difference) tried natural treatments (no impact) and listened to an old timer who recommended vaseline (very bad idea, don't do what I did and take advice blindly because you love someone, I read afterward that it can make it worse and ta da, it did). This soap, though, this angel of a soap bar. It cleared up my bratty eyebrow in two days. Two. I just wash my face with it daily and my skin remains completely normal. No irritation, burning, no excessive dryness, it did nothing but fix my problem. Different people different results, I'm sure (who knows what will make your skin angry -- it's incredibly personal) but for me this soap has become a necessity and I simply refuse to be without it. My face is normal again, thank god and DermaZinc.
