I have only used this for bending 1/8 O1 annealed steel rods, but it does a good job for the price. Much better then trying to bend by hand

I had one of these years ago, I think it was the same brand. A little loose here and there. You have to help it along if you try heavy bends. You will be hard pressed to bend 1/8x1 or 5/16 round stock. I find that 1/4" Dia. Cold Rolled is a good match. If you try heavier stuff, it won't last too long. 3/32x3/4 bends ok. 1/8x1 will flair out at the top. You would have to machine a retainer block to go over the pins to keep a good bend. It serves my purpose and works well, just don't push the limits and you can get great repeat results. You will find a lot of things to do with it once you have it.

I wanted to organize my tool collection, and I started using 10 gage steel wire to create the various hooks I needed for my tools (mainly my DeWalt power tools). But I wasn't happy with how my bending with pliers and vice was turning out. Even though I've never used a tool like this, watching a few YT videos and finding some only instruction manuals allowed me to make decent looking brackets for all the tools I have. For some, I used a screw to keep the bracket in place on by 3/4" wall board, but most are simply bent around, so both ends get inserted into a tight drilled holes - plenty of friction to keep them in place. Wish I had more cause to use it, very fun little tool.

The instructions have pictures taken so close-up that you can not see how to set up the fixture to do the bend. Some of the pins you stick in holes to bend wire around do not seem to fit the holes. The written instructions are as bad as the pictures and give no indication of how to use this and what parts need to be inserted where to set it up like in the picture. There may be some parts missing but since the instructions are unclear about where to put the different parts for different operations, I cannot even say with any certainty whether all the parts are here or not.

This isn't particularly a fault of the machine, put I tried to run up to 3/8" round stock - Needless to say, it suffered pretty badly. I feel like they could've made it much stronger without that much more effort and the welds aren't very good, but if you keep 1/4" and below like it says you should, I don't think you'll have a problem. Comes with way more tools than I have any idea what to do with, and not a lot of instruction. I'd prefer a cheaper, simpler setup with fewer tools and more overall ruggedness.
