Using to monitor a gate on the property
It is over a hundred feet from the gate to the house. I was able to get a clear signal from the camera to the receiver inside the house. I am using this as a security camera transmitter not as a FPV transmitter for a drone.

Great range, no issues.
This works very well. I added it to my Flexify drone and have great video now to my tablet.I have not maxed out the distance so far and probably cannot with the range of this drone.Easy setup, easy channel change on both the tax and rx. Clear video. It get very warm but that is the norm for any of these receivers.Quality buy!

Hot stuff literally...
The RC832 RX & TX are easy to set-up compared to the older Sony board cameras and RC305 RX with dip switches. Everything worked well and they came with all necessary wiring to hook up out of the box, very pleased with that. I let all components burn in for 30 minutes and found one thing that concerns me, they run hot @ 127 degrees F! I posted a question about it and received a reply that the normal run temp range is 90-100 C (194-212 F)! Damn, that's smoking hot and I can't believe that will not effect long term reliability, we'll see as I haven't flown mine yet just put them through a static burn in "literally"! The big question that remains, will they have the range?!It is a nice combination with good features and as long as you don't mind the excessive heat you'll be good to go. I will update when I have more experience flying with the units...

Reversed sma plugs... ?
So the transmitter has a thread in male sma connector that is the complete opposite of what most antennas will connect. Trying to find a screw on female to female sma adapter is nearly impossible because nobody uses a female screw on antenna... except these guys. So hopefully the default antenna is what you want.

Simple and Effective!
Great system, I also ordered the recommended cloverleaf antennas. The RX and TX jacks are RP-SMA which you can see in my pictures that are attached. I haven't maxed out the distance yet, but traveled about 1 1/2 mile and didn't even have static or "snow" in my goggles image. This is very impressive because I have had much more expensive setups that couldn't do that!

LIES - Warning do not purchase
I purchased 2 of these units. same issues with both and interchanging the pair. And yes they work for very short range. Both transmitters are working on regulated 12VDC with less than 100mV drift. And the transmitters run extremely warm - perhaps I could fit aftermarket cooling or heat sink if I found a line of sight application less than 400mtAs in the description states "2000mt range" I was hopping for half of this considering the price being to good to be true. But line of sight (LOS) struggled to maintain signal at 450mt.The video output signal voltage does appear to run slightly high over a 75R resistor load which also explains why an older monitor I originally used for testing wouldn't work, Lucky for me the cheaper generic monitor I have with built in buffer resolved this problem.I have considered directional antennas, but I think these will be tossed in the box labelled of "crap for another day"If you are going to purchase, don't expect miracles, or even its own specifications to be close to accurate.

Had NO idea what i was doing, but it worked!
Brother was gifted a drone. Wanted to get FPV going on it. Tried to piece together a set and it worked PERFECT. Really happy with the receiver especially. Upgraded the ant though.

Range is super limited
Mine only reached 40ft before cutting out.Not sure if it was the particular one I received or not.
